Ristorante A CA MIA is open every April and closes at the end of Fall.

We are located across from the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on the Washington Street Mall. We are available for Private Parties, Rehearsal Dinners, and Christmas Parties.

The historical building that now houses Ristorante A CA MIA was built in 1872. William Essen operated a bakery and ice cream parlor until 1914 when he sold it to his niece and her husband, Carl and Margaret Kokes. The business remained in his family for over 60 Years. The bakery is one of the oldest bakeries in continuous operation in the country. By the mid 1930s, the ice cream parlor had become the dining room and the business was operated as a restaurant as it is to this day. Our kitchen is under the direction of Chef Todor Videv. We are available for private parties. We offer early seating dinner selections. We accommodate well behaved children.

    We had a great experience with family at A CA Mia on Fri Jul 26, 2024. We had appetizers, soup, salads, and entrees. Everything was delicious, and service was outstanding. We will definitely be returning.

    Caesar and House salads were crisp and plentiful. Filet and Shrimp Scampi were perfectly prepared. Desserts of limoncello and tiramisu were delicious! Staff is pleasant and very efficient. We have dined here several times and we keep coming back!

    Food was outstanding! 5 stars. However, our waiter was grumpy and miserable. Kinda ruined the meal. Never opened or poured our wine. Never refilled water glasses. Never smiled or talked to us. If we asked him for anything, he seemed irritated. Just chalked it up to maybe him having a bad day. We were outside in the front. Ate inside the week before and had an amazing waiter. Was hoping to have him again. But the food was fabulous and that’s the most important part.

    The meal felt rushed. The server was very serious. I would not go back.

    The environment the people the service was great absolutely no complaints but my fiancé ordered a lasagna and it was very cold in the middle and super saucy as well but it was very cold so she couldn’t eat most of it. My dish was the bolognese which was great but there was a hair in it. This is our tradition we love this restaurant but unfortunately the food not so great this year which was sad.

    We had a funny, professional, helpful waiter from Bulgaria. The food was EXCELLENT! Had the veal parm and lasagna. Highly recommend! If you’re lucky, you might get seated outside on the mall. Great to people watch.

    Had a great dinner with my family at A Ca Mia. Every year we have the Lasagna Bolognese which is to die for. The Tortellini special was also a big hit. Thanks for a great dinner. Our go to spot every year. Always our 1st spot.

    We dined outdoors and enjoyed the shrimp scampi, chicken and veal parm entrees, and the ravioli sampler. We had a toddler in our party and she enjoyed the meatball/pasta children's meal. All the food was delicious and service was super fast which we appreciated since we had a child at dinner with us. Definitely recommend this restaurant when dining in Cape May.
