We were very impressed overall. The dishes obviously were cooked from very fresh and high quality ingredients and the presentation was fine and elegant. They were delicious! . The server was dedicated and knowledgeable, and the seats were comfortable with a good level of lighting. We felt that it was one of the best places we've been to for high quality food and classy setting in the Twin Cities, but with an easy going ambiance. We give 10/10.

Service at the bar was amazing. Chowder was very unique & incredibly delicious - had a fun, midwestern smoky twist. Lobster & oysters in MN? Yes, please, they were fresh & delicious. Pear bread pudding was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and service. Not packed on a Saturday at 6:30 was a bit odd but I'm not sure why, as we had a great experience.

Been at this restaurant 5 times since they opened. Food is decent but not always well executed, bartenders do not know how to make martinis, and service is really slow, especially when you consider there are 7-8 tables occupied in the restaurant. 15 minutes to be greeted with waters at the table, 30 minutes to get a bottle of wine, and very rushed ordering experience, especially when our waiter just spent 10 minutes going over menu questions at the table behind us. Either hire better staff or train them with the basics. Many more better choices in Minneapolis!

Our dinner was great, starting with the petite shellfish platter, main course Branzino grilled and the lemon meringue cheesecake and pear bread pudding for dessert. The highlight of the night was our server, David. It is such a pleasure when you get a truly professional server these days and David is definitely that. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I highly recommended 801 Fish. We celebrated our anniversary there on a Saturday night. We liked the atmosphere- interesting and lively but not loud. We enjoyed everything we ordered from appetizers to dessert. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu items. We will return to 801 again!

Made a last second reservation and did not know what to expect. We are glad we tried this place out. Food was great. The Branzino was amazing!
