Poor experience. Nice touch on birthday recognition but steak poor quality. Cooked on high heat and no fat rendered. Lack of seasoning made beef bland and awful texture and raw and cold in the middle on the beef. Had to ask to be flashed twice to the point of asking for it to be over cooked to get it to an edable texture. If this is normal suggest speaking to beef vendor and flavor very poor in what we understood to be one of MN best steak houses and were very disappointed

The steak will stop you mid-sentence and change your life. The waitstaff are knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about their jobs. Everything is done with style and attention, from a plate of fries at the bar to a multi-course large party meal. The bar staff makes a mean martini and give fantastic wine pairing recommendations. Though prices may be high, it is worth every last dollar.

Our anniversary dinner was amazing. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The entire staff were perfect. A great pleasant experience.

Our server seemed to always be in a hurry. Twice she took food off the table before we were finished eating it without asking. One being the topping for the soufflé. Normally at 801 we are asked if we want the soufflé during the main course ordering because of the time it takes to make it. We were not asked. Therefore, we had to wait 20 minutes after dinner. We ordererd the grand marnier soufflé When it was presented, our server poured both grand marnier and the chocolate topping into the soufflé. We didn’t want both poured into it. It completely ruined the taste of the dessert! No, we didn’t tell her. But leaving this review to make sure others are aware to speak up ahead of time.

Went there for a nice dinner with a friend. Everything was delicious… the shrimp appetizer (warm) had great flavor and was a great fall meal kickoff. My bleu petite filet was cooked to a perfect rare, and our creme brûlée was lightly burned on top with a silky centre, just as it should be (no need to reinvent a classic, simply execute well). Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend. Cheers!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 30 year anniversary. The staff went the extra mile and created amazing and memorable experience for my wife and I. The crab cakes were the best we’ve had and the Waygu Tomahawk and sides were fantastic (even the day old leftovers are top notch). Solid wine selection and old fashioned cocktails were top notch. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back with family and friends.

I left my phone behind at the restaurant. They say they can’t locate it and didn’t provide me with a positive experience. I called just five minutes after leaving it in the booth and no one would help me. They basically told me too bad.

The server, Santiago, was awesome! He was very friendly, timely, and knowledgeable about the restaurants history and their food. He gave us an explanation of the name of the restaurant which left us with a little glimpse into its rich history and made us feel more at home. The fillet was one of the most tender steaks I’ve ever had and the Mac and cheese was exceptional. We also ordered the seasonal banana trifle that had a bourbon caramel sauce that was delicious! Definitely worth the cost and would be happy to dine here again.
