I treasure the nights we eat here. Very likely more than 30 visits since the Danforth location opened. Business dinners, family dinners, birthdays … any excuse really. Truly one of the only restaurants I will order the fish dish. Their Calamari is the best in town (non traditional that’s why it works). Any of the dishes with mama’s tomato sauce are the bomb. Salads always fresh and lively (mushroom my fave). Be sure to ask for a hot chilli condiment jar for your table. My best gal Lillian just loved it that stuff! We miss Charlie. I think she is at the prince Edward County location.

We were a party of three. We started with fresh bread and jalapeño peppers soaked in hot chili oil. Then went for the vegetarian pesto pasta and seafood linguine. Finished with nutella tiramisu and limoncello gelato. All delicious. Add Shome’s excellent service. Add reasonable prices. Add nice ambience. And this place is really hard to beat.

The food was very good, as usual. The pasta with house made pesto is a real vegetarian winner. Others in our party of seven were similarly impressed with different dishes. We especially liked the just made bread with smoked jalapeños — took a small jar home. Don’t miss the Nutella tiramisu. Cookies are a really neat idea if you want something small but tasty — other restaurants haven’t figured that one out. All really good.
