64 Goodge Street is a new restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, which opened in early August 2023. A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.

We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. Namely, that it is a space in which guests feel utterly taken care of.

We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. We very much hope to see you soon.

Part of the Portland & Clipstone& quality wine group of restaurants: which recently received a Michelin star. 64 Goodge Street offers a sophisticated yet relaxed bistro-style dining experience, with warm wood paneling, deep blue walls, and a minimalist aesthetic. The atmosphere is inviting, with friendly service that strikes a balance between attentiveness and informality. The Negroni 64 was a disappointment, more akin to a Negroni Bianco but lacking the distinctive bitterness and depth of a classic negroni. It felt like a completely different cocktail rather than a creative twist, and serving it with an olive only added to the confusion. The Chalk & Rain Martini, on the other hand, was strong and bold, served with an onion, a proper, bracing drink for those who enjoy their martinis with a serious punch. Snail Bon Bon:A creative and enjoyable bite With an intense taste of garlic . Bread: Decent but unremarkable. Eel Crostino:A well-balanced dish with excellent flavor-a good introduction to Eel of one has never had it before. Quail with Sauce Album era“ Absolutely delicious, showcasing both the leg and breast, highlighting the depth of flavor in the meat. Mains: A Display of Technical Precision Duck with Foie Gras: Served rare, with four generous slices. Well-executed, though not the standout of the night. Rabbit Ballotine :The highlight of the meal. Expertly prepared, tender, and elevated by an amazing sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Crapes Suzette: Well-executed, capturing the classic flavors. Brest Chocolate (Ferrero Rocher-inspired):Rich and indulgent. The Petit Fours, A refined selection, featuring particularly intense coffee macarons. 64 Goodge Street delivers a high-quality dining experience with an emphasis on refined, ingredient-driven cooking. While some elements (notably the Negroni 64) missed the mark, the majority of dishes were excellent, particularly the rabbit and quail.

This is one of the greatest of all London restaurants, made even more enjoyable by it's lack of show and ostentation. It's size creates the impression that one is dining at home with friends. It is true that the tables are tightly squeezed together but this does not impact one's enjoyment . Each mouthful of food was more delicious than the last. Same for the wines which we had by the glass. One criticism which surely can be dealt with immediately - which it must! How can such a classy place cheapen itself by sticking on a £6 supplement for a very run of the mill selection of cheeses - all of them available at in the cheese department at Waitrose down the road. It really did spoil the overall impression. Even if the cheeses were brought in by hand from France or Italy every day, a surcharge like this is a terrible mistake! Please change this policy and if you want more interesting cheeses then why ot get them delivered from Paxton & Whitfield in Jermyn Street. I hope you take heed of this observation - and to future diners, if you do not - don't order the cheese!

Exceptionally executed cooking, everything was completely delicious and absolutely on point, but our waiter was the standout of the evening. Literally perfect service, completely faultless.

Amazing food and good service all in a lovely dining room. Very minor criticisms - the tables are very close together, the food is very very rich, and it is expensive.

Fantastic bistro style restaurant, with exceptionally well executed and tasty food. The small bites (lollipops and bon bone) are a delicious way to start the meal. I wish there was a little theatre or fun in the meal e.g. with the alcohol in the Crepe Suzette, but by no means is the meal boring. Looking forward to returning again soon.

My husband and I had a Valentine's day lunch at 64 Goodge Street and it exceeded all our expectations. The service was friendly, knowledgable and good humoured. I can't speak too highly of the quality of each course and the wine. It was simply delicious and we were not at any point rushed or made to feel that we had to return the table after s a certain amount of time which seems to be the way most restaurants operate these days, before delivering a hefty bill! 64 Goodge Street was certainly not cheap but I would say it was very good value for the quality. Highly recommeneded.

Can't fault 64 for their welcome, the charm of their servers and the elan of their cooking. We arrived for lunch at 12.45 and left three hours later, feeling well content with life (which is no mean feat in these troubled times).

The food was generally good. My halibut was mushy which shocked me since everyone else’s meals were very good. Left disappointed. Table clothes would go a long way to absorbing sound. I couldn’t hear what my friends were saying. A star means little. There are so many good restaurants.
