Took waitress 15 minutes to come by and ask if we wanted anything to drink after being seated. Very inattentive with water refills, asking if we needed anything else, follow up to food delivered.

This was my first time there. It was wonderful. Our server was outstanding. She was courteous, and was on top of things. We had two toddlers in our group & our server was quick with getting their food to them. I will be coming back to this restaurant. The food was very delicious too!

We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:15 reservation but there seemed to be an odd sort of seating priority being given to walk-ins. We waited for 10-15 mins then decided to see if we could find a bar seat, which we did. Other than that, the service at the bar was good and the food predictably good. We are regulars as the Bloomfied Hills location, so we knew what we wanted and what to expect. There was a very good 2-man cover band, which the patrons all seemed to enjoy.

The hostesses were doing an excellent job managing a lot of people. Was so busy! Great food, brand new waitress, did a great job! Fun place, will definitely go again!

My husband and I enjoyed our time at 5th Tavern for Father's Day. We were able to adjust our reservation at the last minute to arrive earlier, and we were greeted by friendly and helpful hostesses. The restaurant was not too full, and the ambience was nice. The majority of the food was great, but some of the buffet vegetables were overcooked, and the mac and cheese tasted like it was from a box. The pancake and French toast syrup could have been sweeter. The desserts -- especially the danishes, carrot cake and bread pudding were excellent. Our wait staff was okay. He performed the required duties, and got us whatever we needed, but his energy was low and he mumbled. He didn't appear to enjoy what he was doing, but he was nice enough. The buffet are was well maintained and not messed over. Every time we approached the buffet, it was clean, despite the traffic, including children. The price was too much. It was double the normal weekend buffet price, and the food selection didn't seem better in terms of offerings or taste. I was not aware of the price being doubled until we arrived; otherwise, I would have taken my husband elsewhere. Because I enjoyed the food, and I've been there before, I would go back on a regular weekend for the buffet, but never again for a major day like Father's Day.
