We have changed up the menu since re-opening this fall [2023] . We are catering more now to our wonderful neighborhood, and neighbors. So be prepared for a totally different menu than the old "579". That vibe and style of the old "579" can still be experienced at our sister restaurant, Chardonnay in Seekonk, just 12 minutes down the road.

Stephanie was our server and she was amazing. She was very attentive, kind and personable. We sat in the lounge and had Oysters, Clams, and Shrimp Cocktails. We were very happy to see that this had been brought back. Overall it was relaxing and very enjoyable. I can’t forget about Monica, she took very good care of us at our previous dinner. Solid staffing.

We went on a Monday where they had incredible appetizer specials with the purchase of a sangria or margarita. My husband and I both had red sangria made very well and garnished with lemon, lime and orange. Then appetizer specials $6 clam zuppa with crostini and $4 large meatball with salad. Entrees are fairly priced and well worth the money. I had filet that came with mashed potatoes and a veggie (fresh yellow squash & zucchini). My husband had stuffed scrod that came with rice pilaf and salad. Then we finished with a chocolate lava cake that had whipped cream fresh strawberries and raspberry drizzle. Everything was absolutely delicious and served timely and hot. The service was spectacular! Wednesdays they have a wing special and Thursdays are buck-a-shuck. Highly recommend!

Have been dining at 579 Benefit St. once or twice a week over the last few months. Reggie, the new chef, is doing an amazing job! Love the Parmesan crusted Detroit pizza, and the recent swordfish kabob special has been delicious. Plus Buck-a-Shuck is back on Thursdays. And we love the outdoor dining! We were there yesterday and looking forward to going back later this week.

We returned for the buck a shuck. The buck a shuck was as good as always. Our entrees were cooked perfectly. A much better experience than our last two visits The service was slow. The waitress had a lot of tables to serve. With that, she was still attentive, apologetic for the slow service.

The restaurant is an excellent local neighborhood place to have dinner. We enjoyed the whole experience. The food was excellent (oysters, short ribs and stuffed scrod). The service was excellent, once we were noticed, which took a few minutes. Overall, we definitely would go back.

Always loved this place since even before COVID was so happy to see it reopen and was even more happy to see them offer Buck a shuck again. I set my reservation as soon as I saw the news (2 weeks in advance). The day came for my reservation at 630pm. As soon as we were seated we were told that there weren’t any more oysters, even though they advertised them just before we got there on Facebook. Sucks but we stayed and ordered an app & some drinks. 20 minutes go by, no drinks in sight and the wrong order was brought to us. As our waitress walked by I said excuse me, just to tell her our order was wrong. She rudely told me to wait a minute and tended to another patron, then walked right by our table after and never came back. As soon as that happened we walked right out, I will never return back. They also keep deleting anything I have to say about this terrible experience instead of trying to apologize.

It was a good experience. Hadn’t been there for about 2 years so it was nice being able to revisit with family. The service was good. The atmosphere was great and they even brought me out a surprise dessert for my birthday!
