The food and value were amazing. Our server struggled but she was new so we understand . What spoiled things for us was that there was a table of very loud and drunk women next to us (and no where to move to get away from them). They were so loud and obnoxious that we could hear each other or the server. They all had laughs that were like nails on a chalkboard. We were hoping that management would do something to somewhat quiet them down. It was a Wednesday night in a small restaurant so we weren’t expecting so much noise. We are looking forward to going again in the future when “ladies night out” loud mouths don’t spoil it for everyone

Outstanding service, delicious food, reasonably priced wine. We had the Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer, the pear and beet salad, and finally the goat ravioli as a main course. Portion sizes were perfect. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I had a great experience with the staff and food. Everyone was very nice and attentive. The food was outstanding. The octopus tostada was out of this world. I highly recommend this place and am looking forward to next time.

We had the 7 course chef's tasting, so I can't comment on the regular menu. It is for restaurants like this that we need an extra star. You can have a stellar breakfast place or even a hot dog stand, but a chef like this who curates ingredients and plans out perfectly balanced plates deserve a different category. Every microgreen, every sauce is meticulous. Every wine pairing was on point. When you can trust someone to bring out their best in every course, you've found something special.

Presentation was beautiful. Such an interestingcombination of flavors and dishes. Everything was so fresh – had the tasting menu and everything was wonderful!

I don't actually want to tell you how good this was because I don't want to compete with you for a table. 504 Kitchen had some of the best food I have had in a restaurant in years. My wife and I are fortunate enough to eat at the best restaurants in Chicago - you name it, we've been there, top to bottom from Alinea (considered by most the top, but I made my review) to the bottom of the barrel. We plan vacations around food, so we know good meals when we have them. Every dish at 504 was spectacular. Every dish had a unique fresh taste and flavor; an exceptional deviation from the ordinary. We had a sampling of appetizers, including a special, and we just shared each dish. We also had a dessert each, and dessert cocktails. To tell you the details of each would be enticingly rude - they have a seasonal menu that changes in 10 days. What I can tell you is the unique mix and balance of flavors in each dish was amazing. The cocktail menu was just as elevated as the dinner menu - an extensive offering of intriguing and curious options, each of those which we ordered was fantastically decorated. Glen Ellyn needed a food experience like this. There are great staples here, but this is a unique fusion of tastes and flavors that I have never had anywhere else. It is rare for me to have more compliments than complaints at any restaurant - Michelin stars included - and this was epic. The service was excellent, the chef came out to say hello, and we are going back in a few days - it was that good. I can't encourage you enough to grab a meal here while you can, because when word gets out about this place, it'll be months before you can have a reservation. In case you're wondering if this is a real review, and I am affiliated with the restaurant - i / we are not. We were simply looking around for a place to eat tonight, and when we came across 504, we both agreed we should give it a shot because we haven't been there yet and it is new in GE. Next reservation booked.
