My husband and I went with friends for my birthday. The filet mignon is the best in town! The cheesecake with raspberry sauce was brought with a written “Happy birthday” message on the plate and was delicious. This is a great restaurant in a great location. We always take a stroll around the downtown square after we eat here. Beautiful ambiance in a lovely part of town. And the food is outstanding!

Very good. Appetizers, salads, entrees were all very enjoyable. Service was very good. We walked next door to Mickey’s after dinner. We will be back.

First time at the restaurant. Conrad our waiter was outstanding. He made suggestions and helped us order delicious appetizers (grouper cheeks) and entrees ( spicy chicken and crab cakes). There was an amazing variety and creativity of menu choices. We truly enjoyed our dining experience.

DeeDee was our server and she made the night super special. Friendly and went out her way to make sure everything was perfect. Meal was fabulous. We had the caprese salad which was served differently than we have had and it was delicious!! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the butter cake with their own sweet tea ice cream was amazing!

This was our second time enjoying 440 Main. Our wait person was helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. We started with a cocktail each. The Old Purple Parakeet for me and G. L. Marg for my husband. Both were delicious and a nice way to begin our evening. We shared deviled eggs which had a nice kick from the jalapeños. Mike ( husband) could not resist the baby spinach side salad with glazed pecans, gorgonzola cheese and vinaigrette dressing. I was delighted with the baked mahi mahi special. It was served with amazing jalapeño grits. Mike said yes to a sweet tea brined pork chop. It was tender and juicy and peach and jalapeño chutney and smoked cream corn made for a delicious.

We went early on a Friday night. Half the tables were empty. First Appetizer we picked was already sold out at 5:30. Ordered the tuna app & it was over salted. Main course took a long time & when it did finally come out they had my order wrong. Scallops & steak were very good but disappointed in how slow the service was on a night that wasn't busy. Maybe they need some additional help in the kitchen?

A wonderful dinner for our anniversary. The egg rolls are excellent and the filet mignon was the best steak ever! It was our 1st time to 440 Main, but we will definitely be back! By far, the best dinner we had in Bowling Green this weekend!! Thanks for making our night special.

440 Main is in the heart of downtown Bowling Green, KY and is located in a charmingly renovated building. We shared delicious deviled eggs with a nice kick. My husband loves spinach salads and the side salad with baby spinach, glazed pecans, Gorgonzola and a balsamic dressing was tasty and too large. I chose the Jambalaya with shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage. It was fantastic but enough for 3 more people. Southern Style crab cakes brought a big smile to my spouse’s face. The signature cocktails called to us - I selected The Old Purple Parakeet - Patron Anejo, lime basil, mixed berries and Orgeat. Mike ordered Madame Pauline’s Fashioned - Markers Mark, peach, fresh orange, aromatic bitters, and fresh rosemary. Both were outstanding and will be ordered the next time we are in town.
