My wife and I really enjoy coming here. The steaks are very good and reasonably priced. The service has always been great.

This was our first visit. There were a couple of less than perfect things. But we might try going again in hopes that it was just a bit of bad luck.

In our 4-day trip to Myrtle Beach this was the best dining experience we had the whole time. The dining room is classy/modern and small… seats maybe 40. Karen greeted us with a smile at the door and served us with that same smile the entire time. She was friendly and professional. If she hadn’t told us it was her first day working there I would have guessed she was the owner or manager. We loved the light jazz music that was not distracting and not too loud. If you are looking for a first class dining experience after a long day at the beach or fighting traffic, I highly recommend 42nd Street Bar and Grill.

Started with fantastic clams casino then I had the scallops w/ white beans and my wife had the sea bass special. This is a hidden gem in a small strip center but the ambiance was great, service attentive and food was delicious and moderately priced. There were multiple items on the menu that I want to try the next time!!

It was our first night in town vacationing and we were looking for a good spot just off the beach and decided to try this from other reviews and it was amazing! We were one of the final reservations for the night and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier and very attentive to our needs. The food was amazing…they had a French Onion Soup special, we also tried the Beef Wellington which was served deconstructed and was very tender and rich. We also had the Snapper and it was very fresh and cooked perfectly! Great night out and we will definitely come back when we visit again!!

Such a little hidden gem! Went there to try something new for father's day. We are out-of-towners who travel to myrtle once a year every year. Was amazing right when you walk in the door! Everyone was so friendly, pleasant and nice. Atmosphere was very elegant yet modern. Food was outstanding! Dad started with the French onion soup which he adored. As a family, we got a few different steak cuts and the duck. Highly recommend!!! Definitely make a reservation on open table to ensure you don't miss out on your stay in myrtle beach!! Shout out to our waiter, Michael! We appreciated all your recommendations and hospitality!

The presentation was fantastic and the service very attentive. The menu was varied and everything sounded delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and intimate. I’d guess there were 12-13 booths and 6-8 tables, max. The pink-hued Woodford Old Fashioned was my first sign that things may have sounded better than they are. Unfortunately, the food lacked a lot of flavor or character compared to the descriptions. The blackened grouper entrée was rather nondescript. I expect a definite bold flavor and some spice when ordering anything blackened. NY Strip could be had anywhere. The Sea Bass special was the best item we had, but it was a special. The hit was the fried Brussels sprouts. Perfectly crisp on the outside, but tender and flavorful. The appetizers of calamari and oysters Rockefeller were also both very good, though the oysters would’ve come with cream cheese had I not asked. Huh? Naan with a garlic dipping oil was the bread for the table. It was fine, but good bread should be a staple of any nice restaurant. It just seems like a solution to a problem that didn’t exist. All in all, while I pleasant experience, there was an odd lack of identity — and flavor — for a relatively pricey restaurant.
