Lovely venue and food was very nice (presented well and nice portions although one meal wasn’t very hot). The young lad serving needed a bit more Training. He cleared our starter plates before one of us had finished eating, his personality was very quiet and not very chatty which left us feeling a bit ‘unloved’ and rushed. I suspect the poor guy hasnt been given enough training or advice so could be unfair. The drinks were served as double measures (without asking) and an automatic tip was added. I’m not a fan of either of these.

Service was awfully slow considering it wasn’t busy. Food was great though. It’s a beautiful place. Just couldn’t understand why we had to track down our server to order and to get the bill.

Superb, attentive and considerate service. Other positives includes: amicable and engaging staff, very pleasant background music. Oh and very good food. A great overall experience and highly recommended.

I’ve already emailed you complaining. The food was terrible / inedible, service was slow, items were missing / late. The bread, olives and wine were great but that was all. Really disappointed in this meal, especially in regards to the price. I’ve never had such a disappointing meal at a restaurant and I’m expect in a full refund.

Food and service were super, had a great bottle of wine too. The interior is plush and it has all the makings of a wonderful venue but it was very quiet - surprising for a Thursday evening. Such a great location for theatre goers and after work drinks, worth checking out.

We were not disappointed with our choice of restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The venue itself was so charming. Highly recommend dining here. It was a great way to spend our last night in London.

We were celebrating joint birthdays on a trip to London and visited 42 Holborn for a pre theatre lunch and was absolutely perfect. Food was delicious and service helpful but discreet. Had no idea the restaurant had only been open 2 weeks! Will definitely return and highly recommend.

They accepted my booking through OpenTable and confirmed it. When my business guest and I turned up we were told the restaurant was closed for a private function. We had to go elsewhere. Not impressed.
