Don’t waste your money. This is one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in years in the city. From the time we walked in where the hostess greeted us and then took 10 minutes to get us seated in a nearly empty restaurant and with a reservation, to the time we sat down having our food service totally rushed, and worst of all to the flavor of the food, which was completely lacking, This dinner was money wasted. The only saving grace was a well-made cocktail. We were told at just before 9 o’clock the chef wanted to know if we wanted dessert because they were closing up the kitchen. It was totally ridiculous.

We strive to offer excellent food and service, so it's disappointing to hear we didn't meet that standard during your visit. Our kitchen closes at 8:30 PM, which prompted our server to ensure you had a chance to order desserts. We aim to clearly communicate the last call for orders, but it seems we missed the mark in your case, and I apologize for that. I dined alone, so I think my service was impacted by this. I didn’t get service until about 20 minutes after I sat down. I saw my drink sitting on the bar not being picked up by the server for another while. My first course and main were brought almost simultaneously - it seemed like they wanted to get me in and out quickly since I was dining alone. My server only checked on me once, as he was running by. The food was delicious and my after dinner beverage was comped by the bartender which I appreciate, and almost made up for the awful service. An okay option for a pre theatre dinner.

the food was just OK. It was an anniversary dinner for my wife and I. All credit they gave us a nice intimate seating. Bar staff were very cordial. Our server was attentive. Just not excited by the menu. I accept my fault in making booking without really reviewing the menu closely. Not that the food wasn't well prepared just not really exciting.

Manager, server(Robert), and bartender were great. Food was quite nice but pasta could have been hotter. Hostess was not very customer friendly.

312 Chicago never disappoints. The chef Marcello Florio is the real deal, coming from Pescara, Italy. I started with meatball/polenta appetizer - - it was satisfying enough to be a meal! I followed with the grilled branzino and vegetables - excellent. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was a huge, delicious portion. One thing I really like about 312 Chicago: they accept reservations for 1 person (a lot of places don’t) and they treat you as if you are with a larger party, no skimping of attention. If you are seeing something at the Cadillac Palace, or even if you’re not, 312 Chicago is outstanding.

We really enjoy dining at 312. The ambiance is conversation friendly and very comfortable. The food menu is somewhat limited, but the available items are delicious. The service is outstanding. Kudos to Markus and Tammy! Several delicious wines on the drink menu and ask for lemoncello, which is made in-house.
