Excellent all around. Service and food quality were superb. The tartiagline and the salmon were our choices and in both cases the taste was heavenly.

It's located right in the theater district, which makes it convenient. They also bent over backwards to help us celebrate our anniversary: a specially printed menu, glasses of champaign, and much attention to out every need. It was very special.

This was a repeat visit to 312 Chicago and we were not disappointed at all. The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were outstanding. We will definitely be back!

312 Chicago offers a satisfying experience, especially for pre-theater folks. However, we find it more enjoyable when it’s not quite as busy in the theater district. Consistently good food. And great service by our waiter, Robert.

The restaurant is pretty and the noise level was low, allowing for easy conversation at our large round table. The food was good, cocktails and wine were also good. Our waiter was excellent - he was mindful of our theater timing and helpful with suggestions from the menu.

This is the first time I’ve had a meal at 312 in quite some time. While the food was good, the menu has become EXTREMELY limited. And historically, the restaurant would provide delicious focaccia bread with an olive oil concoction at the beginning of the meal, which I was looking forward to. They have changed this so it’s $14 (which I optimistically sprang for) and neither the bread nor the topping was very good. We left half of it uneaten. So disappointing. Perhaps other long-time patrons feel the same way about the “new” 312, as the dining room was nearly empty at noon on a Thursday.

I was at the restaurant with my sister and niece. My niece's "medium rare" steak was over cooked (did it sit under a heat lamp too long). This followed a disappointing and overcooked salmon I had a few weeks ago when dining here with a friend. My sister and I had the short rib bolognese and were disappointed that the was not enough short rib ragu and it didn't have chunkier meat. So, it seemed pricey over a dish long on pasta and short on ragu. The service was great though. Sadly, not enough for me not to rethink where I dine when attending theater in the Loop.

Waiter was awesome! Food was just okay. Wish there would have been bread with balsamic and olive oil. Nice birthday dessert!

So close the Nederlander Theater, where we saw SIX. The menu is not extensive, but has good options for pasta and proteins. The burrata was delicious and my husband enjoyed the fritto misto appetizer. Pastas were well-portioned for their price and very tasty. My gnocchi was a little spicier than I expected, but I quenched the heat with the yummy pinot noir rose. Carrie, our server, was excellent, very friendly and attentive! Definitely a great place in the theater district! Will return next time we see a show!
