It was a very special dinner! Great service from Kerry and Matt. Fun discussions with the host and owner. Definitely a family treasure and local gem!

Food was great; service was exceptional and helpful in making each of our several selections,, from wine to starters to entrees to dessert, the perfect ones. The entire experience was wonderful and while there are many great places to eat in Portland, this one has been the most welcoming and welcomed during our two-week visit from out-of-state, primarily for restaurant-exploration, dining out every day and night.

Visited this restaurant for dinner during the week. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was a lack of good air conditioning. There was a fan propped up on a ledge. It ended up being fine - not too hot. The host was very welcoming, and our server was very friendly. Although the restaurant was not very crowded, service with somewhat slow. We ordered several appetizers. The white bean dip was just OK. The bread that was served with it was soft and not very crusty. The burrata was tasty. The Italian meats were fine - but the very plain. Nothing else on the board. We ordered the pasta special for dinner as well as the halibut. Both dishes were good.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed our experience. Three friends getting together for a 40th high school reunion planning dinner. The starters were amazing - we had the beets, the burrata, the olives and the scallops & white peaches with a delicious creamy basil sauce that was incredible. Two of us had steak for our main dishes and our friend had the halibut. All were delicious. We will go again!

Excellent food! We got the clams that came with delicious crusty bread to dip in the broth and the Burrata salad- beautiful presentation and delicious appetizer. Pasta was great as well. And ask the waiter for the specialty drink bubbles with raspberry sauce. To-die-for. Service was fantastic!! I’ll definitely be back and am telling friends about 3 Doors Down.

The owner is great and visited with our table, fresh house made pasta, good wine selection, great atmosphere. We will be back!

Great meal! Started with burrata/pesto/heirloom tomatoes/crostini. Both of us had the fettuccine fra diavolo with shrimp. Couple of orders of Chianti with tirimisu and banana pie (with a port). Sat outside on 37th on a wonderful night.

We have dined at 3 Doors Down many times over the years, and it never disappoints. We are on the email list and learned about a special they were offering this month on Wednesdays and Thursdays - two pastas and a bottle of wine for $45. What a bargain! We started with a lovely Manhattan on tap, some incredible marinated beets, and the bread with warm bean spread (a must have). The pastas offered for the special were puttanesca or an orcchiette with fennel and snap peas in a light cream sauce. We both opted for the orcchiette, and it was fabulous. The Sangiovese that came with the meal was also very tasty. Service is always great, and we love the space and the neighborhood.

We’ve been to 3 Doors Down before and it has always been very good, but this time was outstanding. We sat at the bar while our table was being set and got to chat with the wonderful bartender. He was so friendly and make my husband a perfect martini. My sparkling rose was perfect too. Once seated, we ordered the Bre as with white bean spread, scallops with roasted peaches, the flat iron steak, and the ziti with plum tomatoes, chili flakes, & Italian sausage. Everything was perfection last night & I could eat those scallops for every meal every day:)! The only downside was we were too full for dessert but those choices looked great as well. Thank you for a perfect summer evening. We will definitely return in the future.
