Located downtown Bridgeport CT, 29 Markle Ct. Awarded "Best New Restaurant 2023" by the Connecticut Restaurant Associations "CRAZIES Awards". Upscale New American Cuisine, focused on local, coastal ingredients and smoked methods of cooking. Exec Chef, @chefdamondaye.

We gladly accept walk-ins at the bar on a first come first served basis. A 15-minute grace period is allotted to your arrival time should you run late. After 15 minutes your reservation will be released and offered to guests on our waitlist. All guests must be present to be seated. Tables are reserved for one & half hours. For parties of 6 or more, a $25 per person credit card hold is required to confirm your reservation. No shows and or unconfirmed cancellations risk forfeit of held funds. If you would like to book a catering event or a reservation for a larger party (8+), please send an email to restaurant@29marklect.com. All larger party requests must be confirmed and require a credit card. Thank you.

We loved everything about our first visit to 29 Markle! The food, staff, Chef and owners were amazing. Tables with larger parties can be loud given the smaller space. We will make this restaurant a regular date night! Cheers!!

My wife and I have been to 29 Markle 6 times. We really love the food. It is consistently top notch, and rivals most restaurants in the Fairfield county area. Our only complaint, and it's a big one, is that the service is consistently horrible. When greeted at the door when we arrived last night, the first thing out of the greeters mouth was that there was a 90 minute limit on our stay. Now, mind you, I fully understand the reason for that...many restaurants have adopted this. However, when you have to wait forever for your drink orders to reach the table, it is very frustrating. Throughout our 90 minute stay, we seemed to be waiting more than half the time for our drinks to reach the table. To top it off, at the end of our meal, one of the waiters (not our original one) asked us if we'd like anything else. We ordered coffees. Again, we waited only to have our original waiter come back and ask us if we'd like anything else. We asked him to check on our coffees, and he said he'd follow up. He then returned to our table a few minutes later to inform us that they could only make espresso vs regular coffee. ?????? To sum up, excellent food, horrible service. We'll keep going back hoping that at some point they can figure out how to improve the service. The staff is very friendly, but they're in need of a manager who can manage the front end of the restaurant the same way the chef manages the kitchen.

Definitely try 29 Markle Ct. The ambiance is cool, the food is excellent and inventive. The curry muscles were delicious and our waiter couldn’t have been more enthusiastic. When we waited too long for our after dinner drinks she was very apologetic and comped them, wanted to make sure we left with a positive experience.

Our first time here after months on my “list” - met/exceeded expectations. Inventive, well-rounded menu with lots of options. The crab balls were nice & spicy, and if I were a poet, the carrots deserve and ode written to them! Service could not have been anymore solicitous, friendly and engaged. Will be back to try more items on the menu that called out to me!

Outstanding restaurant. Outstanding food ( especially, spicy shrimp and grits and tomatoes burrata salad) and service. A true gem.
