Located downtown Bridgeport CT, 29 Markle Ct. Awarded "Best New Restaurant 2023" by the Connecticut Restaurant Associations "CRAZIES Awards". Upscale New American Cuisine, focused on local, coastal ingredients and smoked methods of cooking. Exec Chef, @chefdamondaye.

We gladly accept walk-ins at the bar on a first come first served basis. A 15-minute grace period is allotted to your arrival time should you run late. After 15 minutes your reservation will be released and offered to guests on our waitlist. All guests must be present to be seated. Tables are reserved for one & half hours. For parties of 6 or more, a $25 per person credit card hold is required to confirm your reservation. No shows and or unconfirmed cancellations risk forfeit of held funds. If you would like to book a catering event or a reservation for a larger party (8+), please send an email to restaurant@29marklect.com. All larger party requests must be confirmed and require a credit card. Thank you.

First time dining at 29 Markle, and we will definitely return soon. The service was warm and helpful,and a phenomenal experience from the wonderful drinks, to the delectable food. Make sure to order the house specialty, smoked half chicken, which was flavorful and so moist. Also loved the fresh tagliatelle pasta, cauliflower steak,$ even the gem lettuce Caesar salad. Parking available in the lot down the street. So highly recommend!

5 of us out to dinner. All staff were super friendly and professional. Between us we had the half bird, prime rib, shrimp and grits and scallops. All were fabulous. We were heading to a show at Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater and staff were conscious of timing. Could t have been a better experience.

Exquisite little gem of a restaurant in Bridgeport! Food was fabulous, awesome specialty cocktails and does it get any better than having chef visit /speak with every table??!! Bridgeport needs more places like this!

Creative, expertly prepared Southern-inflected fine cuisine in a fun Downtown Bridgeport space. Perfect location for dinner before a concert at the Amphitheater, but that needn't be your excuse to visit, as this simply may be the best restaurant in lower Fairfield County right now.

Our server- Roshene was very helpful and efficient. We LOVED the carrots, devoured the Smashburger and ate every single grit on the Spicey shrimp and grits. We had heard how good this was but we were actually impressed. There are so many other meals to try at this gem of a restaurant!!!

The ambience and music were very pleasing. Unfortunately the mussels we ordered were room temperature, the steak in steak tacos was tough, as were the corn tortillas…the crab balls were very good. I ordered 2 different wines that were not in stock. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I so wanted to like it.

Arrived 7 minutes late for our reservation. We were ignored until we spoke up. The host barely acknowledged us. People who were seated were going to the bar to order drinks because they When we finally stopped the host and asked if we could be seated, he clearly had forgotten we existed. Then he sort of shrugged and said he didn’t know when we would be seated. We said we had a reservation at which point he said “oh, well you’re late!” As if 7 minutes was our fault and an excuse for his behavior. He clearly did not give a ____ If we stayed or went so we left.

Great atmosphere. Service was attentive. Food was delicious with unique thoughtful flavors worth experimenting to try something new. Asparagus app is fantastic starter or side, shrimp and grits is a must have, scallop risotto is also a repeater. We will return for certain.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time, This was my second trip to the place and I’m more impressed than the 1st time, Chef Damon don’t miss, everything from the Appetizers to Desert down to my Ginger beer being available. Hats off to the staff we will be back often. ONE!!!
