                                                                                                                                                We've been back to 23º North two times now in as many years for our Birthday celebrations and I suspect it won't be the last. The food is very good.

One exception was the time it took to get drinks but probably not servers fault. Restaurant is nice inside and almost has a Mediterranean or Italian vibe. Very nice and airy. However, the food was the worst we’ve had on the island and for the prices, wow! Every single thing we had including pan fried grouper, and ribeye steaks (twice) were so overdone they were not edible. Fish was hard. Looked like chicken. Ribeye ordered medium rare came out gray. Not one ounce of pink. Second one was nearly the same so my husband just ate it. Ordered the cauliflower au gratin. It came out totally looking curdled and chunky like cottage cheese. Tried it and it tasted like sour milk so we didn’t dare eat it. Ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and it too was so hard it wouldn’t even come off the bottom of the dish it was served in. Never seen anything like it so we skipped that as well. Too bad because we were excited for a higher end meal and it was awful. As a side note, while waiting for our food, some type of fish was brought out into the restaurant and smelled so bad the restaurant actually stunk for a while before it cleared out. Possibly salmon but others were looking around to see what it was too.

                                                                                                                                                Nice surroundings and great service by Gail (she is awesome!). Overall food was good. Grouper was lovely but snapper was a little overcooked and tough. Pretty pricey overall but a nice evening out.

                                                                                                                                                The staff at 23 North are amazing. From the time we walked in until we left they were welcoming. Our waiter Rodrique was fabulous. He gave great recommendations. The food was outstanding.

                                                                                                                                                The service was terrible. Stale plantain chips came with the tuna. When we requested other chips we were charged $15 for a replacement of Tostito chips.

                                                                                                                                                Birthday Dinner downfall!Me and my boyfriend went there to celebrate my birthday. My table was not reserved even though i booked in advance. Me and my boyfriend were instructed to wait at the bar,but the hostess never returned. Overall the bartender saved the night. Dinning at the bar was not comfortable at all!
