Loveeee my server Rio, he was so professional and on top of everything. My steak came out cooked to perfection and I ordered the Merrill which was so delicious. Will be back asap.

We recently hosted a private event at in the private dining room, and Rio was our server for the occasion. His service was exceptional, seamlessly managing the needs of our group with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the event. The private room itself was beautifully arranged. Highly recommend both the venue and Rio’s outstanding service for any special gathering

My server bashir was a rockstar! I always ask for him when I come in and he does a phenomenal job. My food was great as always and my drink was delicious. Love the whole vibe of the place.

The atmosphere was inviting, with a cozy yet elegant vibe that made for a pleasant dining experience. Elvis, our server, was fantastic, attentive, and knowledgeable. He made great recommendations and ensured everything was perfect throughout our meal. The combination of a welcoming environment and outstanding service made for a memorable outing. Highly recommend!

I felt the tables and seating could have been cleaner. Lots of crumbs, Old seats in the back. I was just expecting more, kinda pricey. Meatballs had a refrigerated taste. Water was luke warm and I didn't like how the waiter put the silverware directly on table. I could take it or leave it as far as coming back.

I want to give this restaurant higher ratings, but I just can’t. Food was just ok. Nothing particularly tasty or special; I had the 220 Burger. The pickles on the bottom of the burger were sort of unusual. Placing them under the burger instead of on top served to degrade the bottom bun over the time I was eating the sandwich. The pickles also made it difficult to grip the bun because the pickles made the bun and meat slide, instead of being aligned. Also, what restaurant does NOT have mustard? We all ordered the 220 Burger and truffle fries, which were unremarkable/not tasty. Had to ask for mustard and ketchup. When the waitress brought the ketchup in little stainless steel cups, I also asked for mustard. She said that there was no mustard in the ENTIRE RESTAURANT, and that “no one ever asks for it.” Stop playing in my face, 220. If you’ve run out of mustard, just say that. The waitress should be happy that I wasn’t the one paying the bill or tipping this time. We also ordered the calamari, Brussels sprouts, and prosciutto and arugula flatbread. The calamari and Brussels sprouts were ok; nothing special. The flatbread was particularly doughy; it tasted undercooked. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn’t. Moreover, one of the people at the table had to request ice for her water several times before getting the ice. Several. Overall, considering the prices, lack of value, and loudness — we had 5pm dinner reservations on a Thursday — I’m giving a thumbs down to 220 Merrill. There are tons of other restaurants in Birmingham at similar price points with better food and service. I recommend that you check out other establishments in Birmingham instead.

Tamara, our server, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made sure our meal was enjoyable from start to finish. The food was delicious. Overall, it was a delightful meal, and Tamara’s excellent service really stood out. Highly recommend!
