Overall the dinner was excellent! They offer a pre-show menu for those in a hurry that is still open to all. The cocktail and wine selection were wonderful. We ordered the fried chicken entree and meatloaf entree. The meatloaf came with garlic mashed potatoes and brown sugar bacon green beans. Everything was very flavorful except the mashed potatoes which I thought could have used a gravy or butter on the side. We also had the grille octopus appetizer which was perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend and will go again to try their other selections.

Filet mignon was a great cut and cook to perfection. The smothered airline chicken breast was a questionable cut qith very little breast meat. Essentially it was a dry leg and thigh combo. Do not suggest that meal. Great service and server was very mindful of available time to dine before a shiw and even gave suggestins for a quick meal.

Great food at a reasonable price. The staff worked hard to ensure we would be able to get our meal in time to get to a play.

Enjoyed the "restaurant week" menu on Wednesday night. It's a great value for $45 for 3 courses including steak au poivre!

Years ago 219 was a cozy restaurant that felt upscale. We wanted to try it out again since it had been so long since we were there last and were really disappointed in the atmosphere (the space has no discernible personality, the lighting is weird, the furniture is basic, the flooring doesn’t match the wood). The food was fine but again pretty basic. The waitress was nice enough but let us know she was only filling in and didn’t know much about the menu. With everything being so expensive these days we are going to stick with the places we know do a great job on atmosphere, food and staffing. We will do ‘basic’ at home.
