The restaurant was very busy when we arrived we waited a while to be acknowledged & seated, then waited a long time to order drinks. We waited around 40 minutes for our food to arrive, my friend said her food was over powered by lemon in the potatoes and she had to leave them, my triple cooked chips were hard and chewy and we asked for no salad on my other friends burger and plate, it came with salad and he said he could taste the salad on the fries that they had used the same spatula and because of this did not enjoy his meal. The kebab is definitely not worth £20 5 bits of chicken and a bowl of hard chips. The staff did nothing when we complained and did not care that we had problems with our meal. Over priced and terrible experience.

We waited about 45 minutes to get our food think they forgot about us as had to remind the waitress we hadn't had our food yet when the food came the burger was over cooked and a bit burnt the hanging kebab was ok will be giving this place a miss if we come to durham again

Our first visit was so good we returned two days later. I can recommend the hanging kebab so much so I had them again on our second visit, chicken the first time, lamb the second visit accompanied by a lovely fresh side salad and dressing... Delicious.

We had dinner at 19Twenty. The restuarant is very bright and attractive with a lovely view over the river. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. Our starter of meatballs was delicious. We ordered rump steaks for the main course and these were very well presented but unfortunately the meat was quite tough and lacked flavour. We were rather disappointed as we had expected a ;lot of the meal.

We ordered drinks prior to the meal that didn't arrive until after the starter, then one of the drinks was spilled on my guest. The food arrived within minutes of ordering which is never a good sign. The main course was very disappointing, my wife ordered the Chicken and vegetable kebabs, the vegetables consisted of two pieces of onion and courgette. It was presented well but had no taste, if i didn't know i had ordered Lamb kebab i wouldn't have been able to tell as the meat was overcooked and had no taste. The steak was the only one of the four dishes that we would have ordered again.

Great cocktails, good food, service of drinks a little slow but staff were super busy, place was full and were worth the wait!

The menu is heavily weighted towards burgers, but the ribeye steak was very good. The chips and salad garnish were good as was the Malbec. Service was excellent, the only thing that spoiled the night was the coffee machine wasn’t working.
