Went here for my birthday, but the experience was awful. The host was unfriendly from the start, and after a long wait to be seated, our waiter rushed us through the meal with no warmth at all. It felt like they just wanted us out quickly to bring in more people, treating us like a number, not guests. Definitely wouldn’t be there again.

The food was great, the restaurant had a cool vibe. We had a drink at the bar first and the bartenders were fabulous. The only negative was it was so loud we couldn't hear anything. Also the waiter was not good at all, or friendly. I definitely enjoyed my experience there the first time. But other than that, not too bad.

Had a wonderful experience here. I came here with my partner for date night. Food was amazing. We had a server, I forget his name, but he was great. I was shocked when the server patiently halted his service while we said our meal prayers; that definitely was not required and we didn’t ask him to- so that was thoughtful of him and we greatly appreciated it. We had the stuffed shrimp and barata. Both were amazing! Soo soo good. The tomatoes I think needed a hair more salt and a bit more oil but honestly we ate it so it was good. He had the steak and fries and I had the salmon and brussel sprouts. So so good. No complaints. Finisher we had the sorbet- OH MY WORD! Amazing. We went kind of late 945 PM (had reservations which I STRONGLY recommend to get), so I felt rushed but only because the food was so good. I never felt rushed by service staff or kitchen tho- that was just a me issue lol. Over all, perfect date night. It is a bit loud in there. The pics of the decor (which are 100% accurate- it’s beautiful), don’t match with the music you hear while in there? Personal preference. I will definitely go back.

It was my first time dining at 1928, and I had high expectations based on the great things I’d heard. The ambiance was beautiful, with a thoughtfully designed interior that set the stage for a memorable meal. However, the service fell short. Once our entrees arrived, our waiter didn’t check in with us—not even to refill our water glasses or see if we needed anything else. It was disappointing, especially considering the restaurant’s reputation. While the setting impressed, the service left much to be desired.

We made a reservation at 1928 for 3 people as it is hard to get into without reservations. We made the reservation for cocktails only in mind for the evening. It was not made clear by the website that we needed to order food in order to reserve a table. We reserved the table and once we arrived, we were told we had to order something from the kitchen so management wouldn’t be upset…even though we had planned to order a couple rounds of drinks in general. We ended up ordering dessert to appease the staff. Our server cashed us out after our first round of drinks and dessert without asking if we would like anything else. We felt we were not welcome there and decided to cash out then. The experience is not worth the money when you don’t feel welcomed.

Decorated beautifully. Warm atmosphere. Noise level was really high. Our waiter was amazing!

Great spot in beacon hill. The atmosphere and vibes are like a speakeasy but they have a great full menu of entrees. Great bar and drinks.
