Named after the year the hotel was opened is Trump Turnberry’s signature restaurant in Ayr, 1906. With an unrivalled coastal location, and views stretching for miles, the chefs at Trump Turnberry take inspiration from the land and sea surrounding the resort to produce the dishes found on the 1906 menu.

There are few places where food, wine and location come together as beautifully as 1906, where the philosophy of “progress in harmony with the past” is taken to heart. Working closely with local suppliers, the Trump Turnberry chef’s have created the indigenous 1906 menu using a medley of seasonal, Scottish ingredients. Each dish featured is a classic, that would be instantly recognisable to any one of our guests over the past hundred years

I recently dined at 1906 and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring that every detail of our meal was taken care of with a smile and genuine warmth. The ambiance was both sophisticated and cozy, perfect for an intimate dinner or a special occasion. The dim lighting, elegant décor, and soft background music created a serene and inviting atmosphere, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed evening. We decided to try the chateaubriand, which was truly the star of the night. Priced reasonably for such a premium cut of meat, it was served as a generous portion, perfect for two to share. The tenderness and flavor of the beef were sublime, cooked to perfection and accompanied by classic sides that complemented the dish without overpowering it. Overall, 1906 offers an exceptional dining experience. From the thoughtful service to the delicious food and well-balanced ambiance, it’s a place worth visiting for anyone seeking a memorable meal.

The restaurant did not have a note of the booking although spoke to member of staff and confirmed booking after being made. Not a good start. Refilled pot of tea had cold water instead of hot water.

Absolutely stunning! We went for breakfast, service was exceptional, food was superb, the property itself was absolutely perfect... and then the views from the Dining room were as good as you will get anywhere. First Class from start to finish

They were apparently understaffed the evening we were there. Several dishes were dropped and services slow. Having that said the food that did come was prepared very well and tasted quite amazing. It was just not the white table cloth experience one might expect.
