1878 on the Lake will be offering its annual Thanksgiving Feast Buffet on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 11:00am - 7:00pm. Adults $68, Children 8-12 years $25, and Children 4-7 $14, and Children 3 and younger are complimentary. NA Beverage will be included for Children 12 and under. Prices are exclusive of 20% service charge and 5.5% WI sales tax. Regular menu will not be available. Parties of 11 or more may be seated at multiple tables close to each other. Seating variations are limited based on size of group and number of tables available on the different rooms assigned for this event.
Christmas Eve Prix Fixe Dinner

Celebrate the holiday with family and friends and a special 3-course menu from Chef Ryne Harwick. Select a starter, entrée, and dessert from Chef's Christmas Prix Fixe Menu. Cost is $85 plus tax and gratuity. Although our regular dinner menu will not be available, or regular Kid's Menu, for those 12 and under, will be available. Celebrate the holiday with family and friends at 1878 on the Lake while enjoying our annual Christmas Day Champagne Brunch on Wednesday, December 25th, 10am - 4pm. Chef Ryne Harwick will have an abundant selection of traditional holiday and brunch favorites. Adults $68.00, Children 8-12 years $25.00, and Children 4-7 $14.00 and Children 3 and younger are complimentary. Price includes coffee, tea, champagne, and milk for children. Everything was superb! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The server was very knowledgable about the menu. We ordered the ribeye and walleye. Both were excellent. Some modifications to the menu were requested with no issues. We sat at a window table with an incredible view of the lake.

Unusual experience. Great venue, but "factory" experience from a service perspective. Started with check-in for reservation, weird experience in the lounge while waiting, average service at the table. We expected more from an upscale venue.

Our server was very welcoming and attentive. We were celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary and server treated us special. We were each given a glass of champagne to celebrate. We had a beautiful view of the lake and our food was delicious. We live in Illinois and tried lake lawn resort for our anniversary last year. It was a nice experience then and we decided to come back for this anniversary. Lake Lawn Resort does not disappoint.

Great food, polite, helpful staff for dinner. However when we came for breakfast, there were plenty of tables but not enough staff to serve! We were almost turned away but then were able to get a spot at the bar. So everything worked out but dear management, please assure that resort guests can actually get breakfast, especially on Saturday morning!

My wife and I had a very nice dinner. The food was well prepared and presented with pleasant service and a great view of Delavan Lake. I thought the prices were high, which impacted my rating. Also, the menu featured an interesting wine selection, which, when we ordered it, were told that it was not available.

The drinks were so good! I had their old fashion which was very well made. The bunt ends appetizer is out of this world. The shrimp risotto and walleye were spot on. The service was exceptional. We had a table by the lake. The chocolate cake was Devine. It was an amazing dinner. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

1878 on the lake was definitely a good experience for us. My girl and I went there after spending the entire day on Lake Geneva and was starving. When we arrived, we will admit the restaurant can be a little bit tough to find. You have to walk past several conference rooms, down a set of stairs, pass a café and around a private reception room just to get to the place. Once you get to the restaurant, you are greeted with these VAST windows that are open to Lake Delavan!! we asked if we could sit outside, but unfortunately the hostess refused because she claimed it was going to rain. It did not, we were disappointed, but it did not hinder our experience. Continue to read more to find out why. Our waitress was the named Liz. We sat in a beautiful corner spot where we had the best view of not only the lake, but also a view of an actual wedding taking place! I kid you not! We actually saw someone get married while we were eating! The food was great. I got the Wagyu Burger, which I highly recommend. Where is my girl got the shrimp risotto paired with white wine. And because it was a “special occasion,” we were greeted with a champagne and Mocktail Mojito. We even struck up a conversation with the guests around our table about the wedding taking place outside. Again it was an unforgettable experience. All in all, I highly recommend 1878 on the lake. Make sure you ask for Liz as your waitress. Also make sure you ask for AJ as he did an incredible job taking our photo on the terrace and providing us with our beautiful drinks for our special occasion. Thanks again guys for the wonderful experience! :-)

The restaurant's setting is amazing with a wonderful view of the lake. We were able to sit outside and our server was very attentive. Our food was good, our pork chop could have used a little more seasoning and something to offset the sweetness of the apples/applesauce a bit. We are definitely planning to go back to 1878 as it's really a nice restaurant.
