Lovely restaurant and beautiful bar. The service was good and my steak was very good but a little over priced. The rest of my party enjoyed their food including the grouper and peach and burrata salad. I would recommend this restaurant it is a welcome addition to our Ocala dining scene.

By far one of the best dinners we've had! First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. It's small and romantic. The drink menu is interesting so we tried the bittersweet thymes, raspberry baby, strawberry basil mojito, Ray Charles, and the espressotini. They were all so good but, the Ray Charles was our favorite. We started with the focaccia bread and salads. The Caesar salad dressing was so good and the peach and burrata salad was delicious! My husband ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. I had the crab cakes which were phenomenal. We shared the lobster acini de pepe, as our side, and it was amazing! The one complaint I have is that the tiramisu was not for me. It was a single layer covered in chunks of heath bar. Our waiter, Bennet, was very attentive. We'll be back, next time we visit Ocala!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last night at 18 South. The restaurant was beautiful. The staff was charming, thoughtful, and professional. The food was wonderful. I recommend this restaurant highly. Please expect the cost of the food to reflect the extremely high quality of their ingredients. The WAGU steak I had was the best steak I have ever enjoyed. It was priced at $75 for 5 oz. I have seen similar WAGU steaks at other fine restaurants for $200 to $300. We loved this restaurant. Everything was perfect. We look forward to celebrating other special events there in the future.

This was a special occasion birthday dinner for our family. We had a great experience and the staff was excellent. It was less expensive than other high end restaurants we have been to, although we didn't realize it till the bill came! 18 South compares very well to Stirups, Mark's Prime and Remingtons.

The Chilean Seabass was cooked to perfection. I absolutely loved it! The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was just what I wanted. What a wonderful experience.

The appetizers, meals, and dessert were absolutely fantastic and service was attentive, informative, and exceptional. The dining experience was modern, sophisticated, and warm. The bar had wonderful selections and their cocktails were crafted expertly! We will definitely be dining here again.

Food was decent, however the steak was overcooked (TBF they did take it off our bill), the fish was lukewarm and one of the sides was almost inedible (“creamed” corn that wasn’t and with cinnamon…IMO just not good). Cocktails were average but they don’t update their wine list (even with a digital menu) so the glass of caymus we ordered we were told wasn’t available but we could have a glass from another bottle at the same price although the bottle would have cost less than 1/2 as much if you were able to buy it, so that’s not great, although the wine was good. Our server was very on top of it and pleasant and we did appreciate them taking the steak off the bill. I read several times in reviews that they had the piano playing at dinner but it wasn’t playing and they had yacht rock on instead. Interesting choice. Restaurant is also brightly lit. That’s fine but if you’re going for a more upscale experience I would expect a little more atmosphere. We think if they work out some of these kinks the place can be quite good—it has potential but it’s not there yet.
