Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality.

1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor.

All entrées are served with our signature grilled artichoke, and “shared” side dishes are available à la carte along with a tasty dessert selection freshly prepared in-house by our pastry team.

Our world-class wine list is designed to match the quality of our food selection, and our professional staff is trained to recommend the perfect wine pairing with your meal.

Our experience here was absolutely amazing! The fillets were perfectly seasoned and the service was exceptional (shoutout to Hannah on the amazing service and accommodations). A must visit - again and again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1796 was an absolutely spectacular dining experience for myself & my spouse. Hannah, our server truly went above and beyond. The food was exceptional!

The steak was perfectly cooked! You purchase the sides separately and they are "family style". They were just ok. We have eaten here a number of times when we stay at the resort. The service was outstanding!

The chef personally came out and talked to us, the food he cooked for us turned out perfect, honestly it prob was the best steaks me and my wife ever had

Wonderful evening out ! The food was perfectly cooked with very tasty seasonings. Michelle, our waitress was pleasant and served the meal flawlessly. Chef stopped by to say hello and is sending us the recipe for the yummy steak sauce, although it does serve 40 ! Memorable night, will return often .

One of our top 5 places to eat. Had the pleasure of having Hannah as our server and she just added to what we knew would be an amazing experience. Cannot recommend enough!

We're fairly regular visitors to Bedford's 1796 restaurant and it never disappoints. This experience was a little different as the 1796 was having some work done, so they served the menu in the Crystal Room. We've had lots of breakfasts in the Crystal but never dinner - it always feels a little fancier and we prefer the warmer ambience of the 1796. But the only difference tonight was the location - the service, food and attentiveness was outstanding. Hannah took great care of us adding her great personality to the night. So, long story short, another fantastic dinner with wine and dessert. We're looking forward to being back in the 1796 once it's all in order again, but the Crystal Room is a great spot as well.
