Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality.

1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor.

All entrées are served with our signature grilled artichoke, and “shared” side dishes are available à la carte along with a tasty dessert selection freshly prepared in-house by our pastry team.

Our world-class wine list is designed to match the quality of our food selection, and our professional staff is trained to recommend the perfect wine pairing with your meal.

We were here celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and prepared the way we like it. Our server was Emily and I really have to give her the highest praise that I can for her excellent service and attention. She was a delight and definitely a shining example of the performance of service that the restaurant wants to offer.

A wonderful meal. From shrimp cocktail to carpaccio to veal. Dammmmmmm was good. Excellent service and wine also.

Tried to eat a littler but they didn’t allow it even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Our steak was over cooked & did not look like a ribeye. More like a strip steak. At a very high price.

The service and food were amazing . The Cesar salad was perfect and the strip steak was one of the best we have ever had . Surpassed many famous steak houses .

We had so much fun at the Bedford springs inn and a highlight was having a fabulous dinner at the 1796. House. Everything was wonderful from atmosphere to the waiter to the scrumptious food and drink
