An excellent evening beginning with perfectly poured martinis at the bar. Continued with wine, appetizers and dinner in the dining room, all were delicious. I highly recommend the halibut topped with crab if they have it again, it was a special. Excellent service from entry to exit !

We were extremely happy with all aspects of the dining experience. The food was superb. The service was superb. The atmosphere was very nice. The value was reasonable.

My wife and I visited for her birthday. The host was kind enough to take note of this and wished her a happy birthday and recommended a champagne to us to celebrate. Our server was John, he was energetic and extremely well versed in the menu and steak options. His charisma and service was the perfect recipe for an amazing dinner. We will be returning soon.

Just moved here from NY and wanted a great steakhouse for my husbands birthday . Well I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated a few minutes before our reservation, the service was spot on and the food superb. Will definitely be going back!!

We had a lovely dinner here. My wife had oysters Rockefeller with scallops and key lime pie. I had a 12-ounce New York strip steak with escargot and banana cream pie. The service and management were caring and exceptional. We'll be back.

There’s but one reason to visit 1776, the food is fabulous. Although the dining room is a bit loud, the wait staff is experienced, attentive, and impeccable. This is our favorite restaurant in Sussex County.
