Very nice restaurant. Reasonably priced, but the chips were soggy (not crispy). Overall, the food was very tasty. I good romantic spot for couples and right on the water.

Made a reservation, got a confirmation email, paid $140 for a taxi for 6- they wouldn’t seat us. Very poor representation for Open Table and Long Bay Resort.

We experienced a Category 1 Hurricane on August 13th 2024 that caused damage to our restaurant. It is our professional and ethical obligation to ensure the safety of our in-house guests and outside patrons. Great food. Unfortunately let down yet again by the staffs urgency to close up at 9.30/10pm. Lights and music being turned off around us. Bar then very resistant to serving drinks and gave in plastic cups as they wanted to leave. Very poor. Happens each time we go and this is early in the evening on a prime night ie Friday or Saturday. A real shame

Service was excellent. The Sous Vide lobster was tough and lacking flavor. Snapper was good and Lamb Shank was good. I do recommend going perfect spot for a lovely evening.

This time - other than during visits before - the service was not as attentive and we had to order twice the wine before receiving it. However the service was always very friendly and nice. The food (lamb shank and tenderloin) was good.

I actually didn't get to eat at all. Apparently a wedding was happening and the kitchen already cut off service. If you arnt open at the times you say you are it's definitely better to make that clear. I got no sort of communication that there was an entire other event happening till I got there for my desired slot. Extremely upsetting.

We love 1748 at Long Bay! The scenery is unforgettable. Best in the BVI! Get a drink at the bar and walk the beach. Focaccia bread was amazing!

Wonderful food, atmosphere and setting. Green Chicken Curry, Tuna Steak special, vegetarian fully loaded salad and the Banofee Cake all incredible!! Sadly our server was a bit condescending, rude and inattentive. Almost ‘shamed’ us for ordering an extra salad, rolled her eyes when husbands drink was in her way of serving. Then made snarky remark about how we should NOT move our placemats if we planned to have dessert. Not friendly at all. Hostess watched as we waited at least 15 minutes for our check. Rarely leave less than 20% tip but did so last night—-we left 12% which still felt too much. One of our favorite meals in 2 weeks on the VI’s—even said we’d come back just for a meal!

Great food and our server “the Fabulous Denise” was awesome. Very worth the trip. We are not staying on the property but glad we tried it.

Valentines Day dinner couldn’t have been better! My wife was greeted with a Rose. The table, service and food were exceptional. The entertainment was outstanding. I’m a picky customer service person and 1748 did a fantastic job.
