1717 Kitchen + Cocktails, located within the brand-new The Queen Baton Rouge, specializes in rustic American cuisine with a twist for lunch and dinner. The restaurant’s bar provides a social setting for guests to enjoy and ample high-definition TVs make it the perfect spot to catch the latest sporting events. On certain nights, guests can enjoy live performances on our interior stage. The Loft at 1717 features an outdoor patio for additional dining and private parties overlooking the Mississippi River.

On September 5, 2024, I waited about forty-five minutes before the server came to take my order. After taking order it took an hour to get my food it was cold and raw. This was the first time I had to ask for a manage that didn't come. Very unprofessional move it will take a long time before I come back to dine at this restaurant.

Missing items from menu. Tomato basil soup was horrible. Looked like chili. Steamed crabs were awesome

The only thing that could improve is the service, after the hostess seated me and brought me a glass of water I had to ask several times who my waitress/waiter was. Finally a young lady came to my table and asked had anyone came I stated no one had and she took my order. She was one that I stopped to ask who was serving me.

The Friday night live music experience is a vibe. The atmosphere is grown. Our server Ty did very well considering it was her first week. She was very kind and considerate. Definitely going back again.

I had the best experience here. I did check all the reviews before coming and i was concerned about service. The place was great. There was music in their Loft area upstairs. Which is very nice i might add. I do see that it is a bit understaffed compared to other restaurants I have been too. But the workers there had a great attitude and very upbeat. The drinks were not watered down I could taste every bit of my alcoholic beverage. Management was present which I like in case something goes wrong. The food was remarkable. I had the Tuscan Chicken pasta And grilled shrimp with it. My friend had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Seems those reviews I read was way off compared to the service and food i had last night. I will most definitely return. I’m bring more friends so we can check out their Loft upstairs which is open Thursday through Saturday for Happy Hour. I can’t wait till my next visit.

The Phat Hat band was outstanding!! The atmosphere was nice and the servers did a remarkable job!

We had a reservation for 7:15 so soon as we got there we got seated which was a plus. After being seated nobody came to take our order til 745 then it took them 30 more minutes to bring the drinks but after seeing our drinks sitting on the counter for for longer than 10 minutes we just left
