The food was amazing and the service was excellent We had the conch rangoons my favorite the fish tacos the best my husband has ever had anywhere The view is one of the best in the world We live on Spanish Wells and make the short trip a few times a year and are never disappointed

The Hostess that greeted us was amazing! The ambience 10/10, Food 10/10. Views 10/10000. Mariah our server was very on point with everything.

Kelly was a great server. Remembered me from 6 months ago and even which table I sat at then. Menu was amazing. Surf and turf burger was so delicious and conch rangoons divine.

Sadly…as pretty as the place is…the air con was broken so the restaurant was sweltering and the waiter said it had been broken for days. Food was ok. I ordered grouper and it was A- not grouper and B a frozen piece of fish and I know this because it was partially still frozen. The Pinot noir was served hot, yes hot and three large ice cubes added melted quickly. Disappointing for $18.00 a glass. We have eaten here many times and expected more. They really should buy from the locals as the fish would then be fresh. Will not rush back.

I would highly NOT RECOMMEND. The food took an hour to get there and it was horrible. Plus there is a ton of bugs that bite and it’s super expensive for no reason. Do not go. There are other places better and cheaper on the island.

Showed up for our reservation 10 minutes early. Were told sitting inside was not possible but were immediately seated outside. Then we were ignored for the next 30 minutes. No menus, water zip….attempts to get the staffs attention were ignored. We got up and left.

There are several wonderful restaurants on North Eleuthra but if you want a touch of elegance then I highly recommend 1648. The view is breathtaking (as are all on the island!), the service is excellent, everyone was very friendly and ensured our visit was a great one. The food. I still am thinking of the creamy lobster pasta. Delicious creamy texture, lobster cooked perfectly. Friends had the snapper and raved about it - not just the main but the sides of sweet potatoes and asparagus. Last but not least another friend had the filet mignon encrusted with blue cheese. Tender, juicy and cooked exactly as she likes it. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert but I will bet that course was 5-star as well. I hope I have the opportunity to return some day!!

Great menu selection. Great drinks. Great food. Great view. And they take Amx.. Only downside is outside biting no-see-ums.
