Honestly, I hate writing reviews, but this was probably the best food I’ve had in a while. Portions were amazing and the bill was even better. 5 drinks, 3 apps and a Saam for 210 bucks - unreal value.

Absolutely incredible. Some of the most unique dishes I've ever had. Service was impeccable. A gem in Toronto!

Server recommended stuffed pepper and beef tartare. Both were great starters. We then shared Sujebi . The sauce, the shrimp and the pasta were just perfect match. The bone-in beef short rib was definitely the highlight of the whole meal. It was so tender and savory . To finish off, the cornpop binsoo was refreshing and was so good. Will definitely come back again!

Visiting 156 Cumberland Restaurant for the first time, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, despite its Michelin rating. However, by the end of the evening, I found myself utterly blown away by the entire dining experience. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was a perfect balance of modern sophistication and warmth, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. The menu, a testament to creativity and precision, offered a journey through flavors and textures that kept me intrigued and excited with every course. Each dish was meticulously crafted, showcasing not just the quality of the ingredients but also the expertise and passion of the chefs. The standout for me was the dessert—an extraordinary popcorn creation that defied expectations. The playful blend of sweet and savory elements, paired with the perfect textures, made this dish nothing short of spectacular. It was a delightful surprise, and easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in recent memory. 156 Cumberland exceeded all expectations, delivering an experience that was both innovative and deeply satisfying. This is a place that doesn’t just serve food—it tells a story with every plate, and it’s a story you’ll want to hear again and again.

This is the third time I’ve dined there. I really like the food but the service is barely passable. The servers aren’t polite. They don’t smile and they for sure don’t the extra mile. They were sold out of so many items by 7:30 pm, which is ridiculous.

Everything was delicious. The small and mid plates stood out over the platters. The potato pancake was sensational along with the chicken wings, mushroom jook and the pasta. 10/10 would recommend and go back again.
