    Best meal I’ve had this year. Combination of great environment (smaller space), amazing service and quality food. We had the beef tartare which was delicious, mushroom jook, the short ribs (a MUST have). They also recommended the mul-hwe which was really nice and fresh and a good way to break up the other dishes.

    Such a great meal! Ordered two starters and shared the ssam platter between two people and it was the perfect amount. Service was great and drinks were delicious

    Ate here two years ago and thought it was just “mid”. Happy to say the food and menu have improved and I had a 5/5 experience. Also happy that they are now open for lunch which works better for my family.

    I've been here 3 times so far and the food does not disappoint! It gives a modern and elevated take on Korean food and my Korean partner approves as well. For food recommendations, I highly recommend getting a ssam platter. It feeds 2-3 people (or maybe 1 very hungry person) and it's paired with 3 very unique sauces, 2 types of radish dishes and some lettuce. The ssam platters always feel balanced and you're guaranteed to be rotating through the sauces to decide which one is your favourite. I've also tried some of the small platters such as the beef tartare, and the chicken wings. Definitely surprised me, i've noticed a lot of their small platters involve stuff stuffed into other stuff (in a good way!). Either way they're packed full of flavour no matter what you pick! I've only tried one medium platter and it's the Mushroom Jook. As someone who loves mushroom, this was right up my alley for flavour. But, I will say it's a little too salty after a few bites. The inside is very intimate and the noise levels vary depending on who you're sitting next to, the upper lever is only available for dinner but tends to be smaller groups in an intimate setting whereas the lower level seems to be a lot of bigger groups of business dinners that are chattier. The washrooms are also spacious and clean! The service is professional and I appreciate that they take away everything after each course so you're refreshed with a new set for the next meal. I think one of the servers is starting to recognize me too haha. Love this place! I recommend it to anyone who's never been who wants a good elevated meal without spending loads.
