Visiting 156 Cumberland Restaurant for the first time, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, despite its Michelin rating. However, by the end of the evening, I found myself utterly blown away by the entire dining experience. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was a perfect balance of modern sophistication and warmth, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. The menu, a testament to creativity and precision, offered a journey through flavors and textures that kept me intrigued and excited with every course. Each dish was meticulously crafted, showcasing not just the quality of the ingredients but also the expertise and passion of the chefs. The standout for me was the dessert—an extraordinary popcorn creation that defied expectations. The playful blend of sweet and savory elements, paired with the perfect textures, made this dish nothing short of spectacular. It was a delightful surprise, and easily one of the best desserts I’ve had in recent memory. 156 Cumberland exceeded all expectations, delivering an experience that was both innovative and deeply satisfying. This is a place that doesn’t just serve food—it tells a story with every plate, and it’s a story you’ll want to hear again and again.

This is the third time I’ve dined there. I really like the food but the service is barely passable. The servers aren’t polite. They don’t smile and they for sure don’t the extra mile. They were sold out of so many items by 7:30 pm, which is ridiculous.

Everything was delicious. The small and mid plates stood out over the platters. The potato pancake was sensational along with the chicken wings, mushroom jook and the pasta. 10/10 would recommend and go back again.

Absolutely wonderful. Every flavor was perfect. We had the strip w bulgolgi SSAM. And the tuna tartare and chicken wings were out of this world.

Been here 3 times. I always get one of the ssam platters (skirt steak for 2-3 people, short rib for 4 or more), plus a few other dishes. I like the potato pancake, stuffed chicken wings, and mushroom jook. I always forget to save room for dessert, next time I’ll remember!

Amazing atmosphere, we stopped in for drinks and apps. Love a twist on classics and the king salmon tartare and beef tartare were both delicious. Will definitely we back for the full experience!
