Very good experience. Food was tasty and well prepared. We had the short ribs and the steak frites. Service was good and parking was easy. i would eat here again.

First of all, 1501 has fantastic employees. Everyone is always so nice and is great at what they do. The restaurant has a good selection of choices and the wine list is very good. I really like the chicken-under-a- brick, served with fresh carrots and mashed potatoes, but the caesar salad with prawns is a close second!

We hadn’t been to 1501 Gastropub in at least a year. Some friends suggested it last week and we went. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and meals. We started with the pretzel and onion rings. The pretzel had a light texture and was freshly made. The onion rings were the perfect ring. The onion was nice and tender and surrounded with a crispy batter. It was t overly battered and you could still bite through without the entire onion coming out. I ordered Mary’s brick chicken. It was very moist and flavorful. The pomegranate made it sweet and tangy and the portion was very generous. When friends came in town this weekend, we suggested 1501 again. We again started with the pretzel and onion rings. Our friends ordered the arugula and date salad, burger, short ribs, fish and chips, strawberry burrata salad and shrimp appetizer. Everyone had a cleaned off plate and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I had the seared ahi tuna salad. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was flavorful. The grade of tuna seemed mediocre considering the price of the salad. It was fresh and filling, but I would order something different next time. Service is efficient and friendly. They have a parking lot and street parking is also available. The restaurant is in a beautiful mid century modern diner style space with a good amount of seating. Although it was too hot to sit outside, they have nice, intimate outdoor seating which would be nice to enjoy conversation and a good meal.

This is actually one of my favorite spots. My short ribs were barely warm and my partner’s steak frites was extremely rare on a medium well request. I finished my meal and still had to wait for his which he did not still enjoy, commented there was no seasoning. Server was nice, brought me a birthday cake as we went on my actual bday, felt they could have comped my partners drink or something. No real effort for a inconvenient wait that was their fault. Will try it again to see if it was a fluke but did not enjoy this visit.

Our server was Cesar J. and he was awesome! We arrived just before 5 PM and learned it was happy hour for food and drink so my husband ordered the charcuterie tray and I ordered the Cuban sandwich. I love their twisty french fries that come with it. We also got a couple glasses of red wine. Everything was delicious.

We have been eating at 150l since they opened and always enjoyed it so we were concerned when we heard it had been sold but were assured that nothing would change. This was our 1st vist since the new owners took over and while the menu remains the same, the preparation of at least one dish has not. One of my favorite dishes has always been the Creamy Corn Chowder as it has always been flavorful but not spicy. I don't enjoy spicy food and this time, much to my disappointment, the chowder was quite spicy and I'm wondering if this is the influence of the new owner who owns Mexican restaurants and may be bringing that flavor profile to 1501. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs if that's what one enjoys so I would hate to see 1501 change their recipes in that manner. Hopefully, this was a one-time thing. My husband's meal was fine. We will certainly go back again but I probably won't order the chowder and will hope that other recipes remain as they were.

This is our third time here. The first two times were for lunch and we both had the burgers which are good. This time we tried different appetizers and entrees and they were disappointing. The items sounded good on the menu but the preparations were simply not very good. The service was excellent and we like the vibe but I don’t think we will be going back.
