Le chef exécutif Domenic Tudda a passé ses années d'enfance à apprendre la cuisine italienne alors que sa famille possédait et exploitait le restaurant Stromboli's à Calgary. Il s'est perfectionné avec une formation culinaire approfondie en Italie pour être à même de poursuivre la tradition de ses parents et proposer des repas italiens uniques et d'une imparable authenticité à Calgary. L'un de ses restaurants les plus reconnus est le Ristorante Pulcinella, où Domenic a remporté pour la première fois une distinction lorsque sa formation internationale a repassé les frontières pour revenir à Calgary au printemps 2006. We use parmigiano reggiano and only the finest cured meats and cheeses imported from Italy. Gluten free pizza: add $3; buffalo mozzarella can be substituted on any of our pizzas: add $8. The True Napoletana Tradition. Long considered to be the premier pizza style in Italy, Neapolitan pizza is cooked in a high-temperature wood burning oven. The characteristic charring of the underside of the crust is the result of this traditional baking process and adds to the distinct flavour of our finished pizzas

                                                                                              I have visited pulcinella several times and am always impressed with the quality of their food. Unfortunately, the last couple of times that I have dined at Pulcinella, I have experienced extremely long waits for food, with no communication from our server. This past weekend, my partner and I sat down, and quickly were greeted by a friendly server and provided with menus. We soon put in drink orders (which arrived quickly) and then a few minutes later ordered an appetizer and our mains. A few minutes after that, they brought us appetizer plates. After this, we waited over 50 minutes until our appetizer was served. I totally understand that sometimes the kitchen can be experiencing high volumes, but this has now happened twice. I know it is not the servers fault, but it would have been very nice if at some point in those 50 minutes she would have checked in and acknowledged the wait, and perhaps apologized or checked on the status. The food was great as always, but I was not impressed with the service and the extremely long wait. We ended up dining for 2 hours (just appetizer and mains, no dessert). I am not opposed to returning to pulcinella in the future, but only when I have a lot of time.

                                                                                              We made reservations before going to see a show at the Jubilee. Parking was super easy right in front. When we arrived were greeted and got to choose where we wanted to sit. Choose the high seats by the window. Server came by to suggest great wine pairings for our dinner. A friend and I shared a caprese salad, arancini balls and a pizza. It was all delicious, especially the caprese salad. I would go back for that again and again. We also had 3 desserts to share amongst the table, which were all fabulous. We were all stuffed by the end of the meal with delicious food and wine and lots of laughter

                                                                                              The food was terrible. We were pressed for time so didn’t send back. Had we had more time we would have. Bread was stale, pasta no flavour, pizza undercooked and soggy in the middle. Salad was acceptable but I’ve had better. Very disappointing.

                                                                                              I travel to Italy once or twice a year for business. Pulcinella is THE best Italian food outside of Italy that I've ever had! It is the most authentic experience you can find. Walking into the restaurant is like being in Italy!! The food is delicious and fresh, staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I love this place!!
