Welcome to the Puddicombe House, award winning casual fine dining in an elegantly restored 1868 mansion in downtown New Hamburg. Executive Chef Jammie Monk leads the culinary team. The restaurant has been named to the Open Table Top 100 Restaurants to Dine Outdoors in Canada and the top 100 Romantic Restaurant in Canada. Fantastic food and service. The complementary dessert for our special occasion was above and beyond what you would expect as well. One of the best patios I have ever been on.

We have been here often (live Stratford) this time I brought 2 guests, I from Mississagua, 1 from Orangeville. They had never heard of the place and loved it. A few slip ups (not a great problem) ordered a salmon burger - got a beef burger - guest ordered creme brulee - got something else. Each time it was corrected with apologies. Booked table on line and mentioned I would like a closed lawn area. Had to mention my request as there was no mentioned of it? In a last visit I had suggested that the strombollis, although very good, were not easy to handle (large bun,) see now there is an option of a thin crust. - and was ordered - thank you - ladies love to eat but not wear it. Well done we will be back. One of my husbands favourite places, often suggests it to friends and tourists.

Beautiful Victorian home in the heart of New Hamburg. A short drive from KW. Great for 2-8 people dining together. Food is well presented and staff are very pleasant. Great drink options served in vintage crystal. Special occasion or a nice meal out I would recommend this beautiful restaurant.

We had a lovely stay at Puddicombe house. We enjoyed the beautiful wraparound veranda for our happy hour, dinner and breakfast. Food was delicious, served by helpful, friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodation in the Kroetsch cottage as well. Highly recommend Puddicombe house!

We had an excellent meal the warm olive appetizer was to die for the steak was wonderful and best of all was our server Nicki. She was super efficient , knowledgeable and lots of fun!!

The only reason for the lower rating on ambiance is that we were sitting on the outdoor patio back by the hall and a large wedding party were outside for the duration of our meal and they were very loud. I guess we could have asked to be moved to a quieter table.

Good and ambiance was good. Prices seem to have gone up (like everything else). Overall we enjoyed the experience however.
