Delicious comfort food, enjoy the fall specials, great beer and cocktails selection, and service is always good. I particularly enjoy the Indian pudding, an old New England dessert that rarely appears on menus anymore, certainly not to everybody’s taste. For me, it’s a once a year treat, as are the nutty sticky buns that are in the bread basket.

Ebenezar’s Tavern was intimate for a lunch with our relatives from Boston. The food and service were great. The bakery was also very good. A great place for Connecticut people to meet their Massachusetts friends/relatives.

This is a regular venue for us to meet with family for reliably good food and experience. Four of us chose from both the lunch and dinner menus with what is typically traditional American dishes and classic pub options. Bloody Mary’s are spicy good and the beer selection is decent although I wish they would change up the selection more than they do. I enjoyed the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes, red wine gravy & green beans. It was a good portion and very satisfying. Everyone enjoyed their choices and our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere is always a plus with the colonial New England stylings that are featured throughout the facility. We always prefer the bottom floor setting of Ebenezer’s Tavern for our dining pleasure.

Our second time here and was even better than the first time. My husband had the turkey dinner and I had the salmon. Both were delicious! Service was excellent. The ambiance was perfect for this lovely historic inn. Would definitely recommend dining there.
