Venue is very loud inside. Great food. Service was good. Parking is a beast around that area so plan ahead and leave time.

Public Fish & Oyster is a favorite. It is usually crowded, both inside as well as outdoors on the covered patio, and for good reason. Portions are large, there is always great daily seafood specials, and the oyster selection is the best in the area, with a broad range of east coast shellfish. There is also a daily seafood crudo on offer, which on our most recent visit was a ceviche of the freshest fish, bright with citrus, chilis and cilantro. A steak and burger, as well as limited vegetarian items, are available for any non-seafood eaters in your party, but seafood is the main draw. The service is also friendly and knowledgeable, the wine list is surprisingly good, and the bartenders, Danny and John, are the best in the business.

Celebrated a birthday and had a lovely meal. Both John and Alex were fantastic, kind and attentive. Food was timed well, cooked to requested temps and likening and flavorful. Will definitely visit again next time we are in town!

There was a huge table of very loud young men.. so loud that it was difficult to talk.

Oysters were great. They have large selection. Do not get the calamari though - I didn’t know you can mess this up. Drinks were ok. Overall would go back just for the oysters!
