Ian was a Great server. The food was great. The experience was great nothing but the best of marks. However, you do not need your hearing aid or you need. It depends on how you look at it.

It was great. Wonderful food, and excellent service! Of our favorite places to eat and all of Charlottesville. The oysters are always fresh and the muscles and crab and shrimp and lobster rolls are also delicious.

Chanel ( sp?) our server was fantastic. When we noticed that there was one bad ouster , she had the kitchen bring us out four more of that type. We were very appreciative. We have only had the best meals at Public and we always brings out of town guests here to eat.

Food was excellent and people were nice. We were sat quickly. The place was so busy and you could smell amazing food cooking .

Wonderful experience, Our first time there and was not disappointed. Food was great, good selection and our waiter was top notch. He answered all our questions, made great suggestions, was attentive but not overbearing. We were seated in the patio and it did get a little loud as we were halfway through our meal. Was comfortable, good air circulation, even with it being upper 80s. We will be back................

We reserved an indoor table for two and presented ourselves at the door with a third person. Initially no accommodation for the third person could be made. Finally an outdoor table was kindly offered and accepted although ambient outdoor temperature was in the low 90s. Menu choices included several oyster varieties and presentations, mussels, scallops, fish. Bowl of steamed mussels in garam masala and onion sauce was excellent. Entrees were served with garlic and butter mashed potatoes, summer squash medley, no substitutions allowed. Rockfish and salmon plates were well prepared and tasty. Trout dish somewhat overcooked. All portion sizes generous. Service was friendly but infrequent. $134 bill for three, no alcohol or dessert. Overall an average-above average experience.

DELICIOUS & always great service, this is one of our favorite restaurants! We like to go for Happy Hour with beer & wine specials, $1 off oysters on the half-shell, & Lobster Rolls that are amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We enjoyed our visit to Public Fish & Oyster. The menu was extensive and our selections were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We sat inside which was quite noisy. All in all, our time was very enoyable.
