Visiting from outv of town. Was a great experience from the moment we walked into the door to the moment we left. The attention to detail was above and beyond. I made the reservation over a week ago - it was our anniversary and as soon as we sat down we were met with champagne. The wait staff was very attentive to an allergy my wife has. Highly recommend!!

Went with my husband for the first time. Everything was fantastic. The menu had so many great options and everything was perfect. Our server was great. Everything you would expect out of a 5 star restaurant, except for the noise! It was so quiet there even though it was full. What a pleasant surprise!

Very nice seafood restaurant in Charlottesville. We started with oysters that were great, with a wide selection to choose from. Service was excellent. Server was very attentive but not "bothersome". Nice choice of fish.

The Happy Hour lobster roll is the best low key secret in Charlottesville. John is one of the best bartender/managers in town! Every single time, Public hits it out of the park with food, service and vibe.

Food and service were excellent. Last minute decision to go to dinner. First time at Public Fish and Oyster and certainly won't be my last.
