Absolutely fantastic. The recent menu additions are spectacular. We really enjoyed the rainbow trout with brown butter almonds and the biscay mussels with fries and perfectly toasted garlic butter baguette. The drinks were great too. Always come during happy hour. Appreciate the attention to details like their new plates and silverware.

Really legit oyster bar! Fantastic cocktail list. Love that they have a dedicated section of gin and tonics. Amazing craft cocktails. Really accommodating with allergy needs. We enjoyed shrimp cocktail, tried a variety of their daily oysters, the daily crudo special, and muscles in the white wine broth with fries along with a few cocktails and oyster shooters. Everything was fantastic, truly an experience.

The oysters were wonderful and the mussel options were amazing. We all really enjoyed our food and Cody was a great server. We closed the place down and appreciated the staff for accommodating us.

Ian was a Great server. The food was great. The experience was great nothing but the best of marks. However, you do not need your hearing aid or you need. It depends on how you look at it.

It was great. Wonderful food, and excellent service! Of our favorite places to eat and all of Charlottesville. The oysters are always fresh and the muscles and crab and shrimp and lobster rolls are also delicious.

Chanel ( sp?) our server was fantastic. When we noticed that there was one bad ouster , she had the kitchen bring us out four more of that type. We were very appreciative. We have only had the best meals at Public and we always brings out of town guests here to eat.
