Le Prospect est un restaurant plutôt décontracté de la même équipe qui est derrière l'acclamé Boulevard à San Francisco. Les partenaires d'affaires, Nancy Oakes (James Beard chef renommé/propriétaire du Boulevard), Pam Mazzola et Kathy King, ont créé un lieu convivial qui rend hommage à la cuisine américaine contemporaine. Que ce soit pour un cocktail et une bouchée au bar, pour un repas décontracté à la table commune, pour un dîner relaxant ou un souper dans la salle à manger principale, vous pourrez profiter du menu complet et d'un service exceptionnel.     Prospect is one of my favorite places to dine in the city!!!! The food is consistently incredible, the service is excellent, and the overall vibe is great for many occasions. I always leave happy and excited to come back for my next meal!!!

    A nice menu of California cuisine, and the servings were generous. But my pork chop was too salty, the noise level was on the high side, service was sluggish (although attentive), and we generally felt it was pricey for what you got.

    We actually ate at Prospect twice this past week. On Saturday, there was a three hour drop-in Tacos and Margaritas Happy Hour that was so much fun. Bar Manager Abe was making his fantastic margaritas that day, I had the tamarindo version, and it was very, very good. Chef Agustine was the guest chef in the kitchen that day, making his famous ceviche, and guacamole appetizers, and both pork carnitas and shredded beef street tacos that were so good. There was also the most divine churros, with a chocolate dipping sauce. We showed up early with a group of five, ordered several rounds of everything, and reluctantly left at six PM. It was a fun special event, with lots of delighted people there. It was announced to Prospect’s email list, so I was very happy I was signed up for that. A couple of days later we had another amazing dinner on Monday night. I started with the lovely pear and beet salad, my friend started with a dramatic tuna tartare with these puffy shrimp chips, really good! Then I had perfectly cooked scallops on a bed of yummy white beans. My friend ordered the pork chop, that he was so very happy with. I begged for one bite and it was amazing: tender, juicy, with some kind of wonderful sauce drizzled over it. We barely had room to share the addictive Frozen”Snickers” Bon Bon for dessert. We drank a great bottle of Reverdy Ducroux Sancerre with our meal, and together with the warm and efficient service, had another great night at Prospect.

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary with friends at Prospect and were once again blown away by the food and service. To start, the Ahi tuna tartare had a perfect hint of spice, while the golden beet and Asian pear salad, paired with whipped feta, was simply sublime. For our mains, the halibut was beautifully light and flaky, and the risotto, topped with scallops, was nothing short of spectacular. Dessert was the perfect finale—the coconut and banana semifreddo offered a lovely balance of tartness, and the "Snickers" bon bon was just as decadent as we remembered.

    We had an exceptional meal at Prospect. Every thing was absolutely delicious, with a few standouts. The roast duck with red cabbage and the pasta with lobster were both incredible. Also, the spicy halibut ceviche with tortilla chips is addictive! The atmosphere was fun and lively, but not loud in spite of the fact the restaurant was full, it was very easy to have a conversation. The Sancerre that they were offering by the glass was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Our table was a bit challenging with people arriving and ordering a different times but the service never wavered. It was seamless, attentive, and warm . We absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to go back!

    We had small plates, ceviche, octopus in mole and the pork and duck meat balls. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the mole was very good. The meatballs ere nested on mashed potatoes with a beautiful sauce. My fave. Our waiter was excellent. Would return and next time order the duck with pluots!
