Awesome place. Carpaccio and charcuterie stood out, they were delicious. The duck was probably the beat we have ever had. And they drinks were also very good.

Mussels appetizer and Duck entree were excellent separately and paired. Nicely compiled wine list, very few of which can be found in stores. The service was attentive and knowledgable.

Artistic dining atmosphere in downtown. Proof on Main has a smaller menu with delicious local options. Great service!

We were there early, so noise might increase as the evening hits peak. All the food we ordered was excellent. Our server, Joey, was great at both general service and making conversation.

I post both here and on yelp and I’d have to freely admit that the restaurant-post Covid- is better than ever before. Their Sunday brunch menu is clean, simple, creative, expertly prepared with examples of frequently seen option, but lifted by culinary elevation from common to exciting and fulfilling. Tuna was pristine fresh, the Chik n Bisquit was really something special. Avocado toast ( nothing like you’ve ever seen elsewhere), squid- OMG, I’m still savoring its succulence ! Only let down was the potatoe square- too salty. People get in your cars or bicycle down to Main Street on Sunday and expand your horizons

Good food and great decor and location. Service was surprisingly lacking considering the bill. I brought out of town coworkers and clients and they remarked on the casual attitude and inattentive service which was frankly embarrassing. Simply walked away without completing drink orders, never checked in on us, not even a chance to get a second drink. Lesser note, the acoustics were terrible and made conversation difficult. Will think again before dining.

We had high expectations for our evening at Proof. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We started with the mussels and octopus. The mussels were average and the octopus was so salty it was inedible. The waiter sent it back and replaced with a second attempt, which was identical to the first serving. We then ordered the swordfish for a main, which had the texture of shoe leather. We decided to eat the vegetables and left the swordfish on our plate. No one bothered to ask if everything was OK, and we were charged for the meal none the less. Really poor restaurant.

Been here many times when we lived in Louisville. This experience was exactly opposite all the others. First off, made a reservation over a month ago and was seated the at first table right when you walked in the door. Not a good spot with traffic from the others customers and waitstaff traffic. Asked to be moved and she seemed to have an attitude. Also, place was empty at 7pm on a Saturday night which tells me Proof is long in the tooth. Got moved and got a server who had some difficulties. Her main difficulty was being slow as hell it took at least 45 minutes to get a drink after wait for 15 to get the table. After the drinks it was another 40 before she she came our orders which was another story. Food was actually good great the undercooked meat issues, but overall acceptable was remedied. Overall service was not accommodating and no one seemed to care. Too snooty of an atmosphere is a half empty restaurant. Too many other great places to bother going here.
