Since 1989, the Powerhouse Eatery has been providing customers with an exceptional dining experience in a unique, historic atmosphere. The former power plant from which we take our name has been transformed into a contemporary dining destination, welcoming patrons from throughout the country to our home in White Haven, Pennsylvania. Yet the distinctive past of our building is always present in our remarkable experience, accompanied by our relentless attention to detail, fierce commitment to quality, and peerless customer satisfaction.

A bit pricey but protein main dish was large. Nice sized baked potato accompanied. Paid $5.00 up charge for different veggies ( Brussels sprouts instead of green beans) and received a rather small serving of sprouts. Ordered a glass of the house Pinot Grigio which was good but barely 4 Oz. serving. Table was wobbly so our server was nice enough to stuff a cloth napkin under 1 leg to steady it. It’s an interesting atmosphere, noise level average. Overall the food was good but not sure it’s worth the drive to the middle of nowhere for the price.

The food was very good and the service was decent. I think they may have had their servers spread a bit thin. They may have been a bit sort stafffed. If they were, it didn’t affect the quality of the dinner. I look forward to coming back.

We had a reservation for 7 people for 7:00 pm. The server came to the table and got drink orders. The bar drinks took 30 mins. And when we inquired about them, they said they were understaffed, we accepted that. We are a table full of people that have or currently work in the restaurant industry so we are very patient and understanding to what restaurant staff go through on busy nights but the restaurant wasn’t even busy. We would have not batted an eye as we were having a nice birthday celebration, however we watched all the tables around us getting their appetizers and drinks. We asked for waters 3 times and finally got them 20 mins after sitting down. We ordered some food and apps at 7:30. Our food did not come out until 9:00. We watched 3 tables come in, be served drinks and food and paid their checks all before our food ever came. We asked 2 servers about our dinner, they said they were checking on it and nothing came nor did anyone come to apologize or show they even really cared that our food was taking over 90 mins . One of our party got up and went to see a manager, she was unapologetic and never came back to even see if the food was delivered. When we then asked our server if it was coming because NO ONE had given us any information and the restaurant was close to closing time, not only was he unapologetic, he was curt and disinterested in engaging. We were understanding and patient the entire time. It was unacceptable. All anyone had to do was come, explain there was a mix up and accept some accountability. We couldn’t have been more patient but their attitude with us was completely unacceptable and quite frankly, appalling. And to be frank, the food was not up to the standards. The steaks were over cooked, some looked it had been sitting under the heat lamp. All restaurants have bad evenings; it was the way in which the staff handled this that would make me never recommend this establishment and nor will we return.

This was our first visit to the Powerhouse and what a great experience it was. Our server, Devon was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, and he answered all our questions. The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be making this a regular stop.

I ordered a new york strip medium rare and a loaded baked potato. The steak was well done and I think they reheated it because it was hot on the outside and cold in the middle and the potato seemed to be reheated also. Very disappointed. They did make me another steak witch was good, but I think I was charged for both.

It was my Son's Birthday dinner...From the moment our waiter Dave introduced himself it was superb...The homemade bread with sweet Thai chili pepper butter...to the appetizer..main courses and dessert....Each course continued the incredible excellence of food and service.... Powerhouse Eatery is an ultimate experiece...Thank you...

We picked the Powerhouse because we had never eaten there before and we were so glad we did. The food was excellent and the service was great. We will definitely be returning.
