Great food, great wine great service with a relaxed vibe. My wife and I have allergies, the staff were very relaxed and helpful in putting together 2 bespoke menus. We opted for the wine flight which included a number of great wines, all of which were explained in detail and with great passion by the sommelier. The staff were approachable spending time with each table which gave the feel of a local restaurant which is unusual in. Michellin *’d place.

We had a lovely evening on Saturday 29th June, the food and staff were excellent. Staff were informal, but attentive when needed to be.

I cannot fault this restaurant. The food and service was outstanding, especially Lucy, Ilaria and Zac who could not have been more friendly, helpful and full of knowledge. We opted for the taster menu with the wine cellar pairing and yes, quite costly but amazing.

Service was outstanding and welcoming. Food was amazing with balance flavour and good quality plating. All portions are decent and you will not feel like you are paying too much with the amount of food served.

The food is exquisite, the staff friendly and seem legitimately happy to be there and provide us with a great experience. Been twice and that was my impression both times. Highly recommend.

Truly outstanding. We opted for the tasting menu on a Saturday lunchtime. The whole team were fantastic from the beginning. I’m currently pregnant so just being cautious around raw foods they were so attentive and even asked if I was ok with certain no alcoholic drinks that had a high caffeine content. My husband doesn’t eat fish or shellfish so they kindly accommodated this on the tasting menu with vegetarian options that were absolutely delicious! We can’t thank the team enough. Such a wonderful experience where every detail is executed perfectly but still had a relaxed, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. We will certainly be back. Thank you to all the team again.

The Portland is an unassuming gem that manages to be both relaxed and refined with exceptional and exciting food. The service is warm, personal and fun and, out of the few times I have been, quite brilliant: from the perfect wine recommendation to the card for our special occasion and the enthusiastic chats.
