Pizzeria Libretto is a lively Toronto neighbourhood restaurant offering Real Neapolitan Pizza certified by the VPN.
Atmosphere? Bright, busy, fun, loud and homey. Everyone is welcome: singles & couples, young and old, families, and those going on their very first date. No dress code—come as you are, or however you want to be.
Libretto aims to be loyal to what real pizza is, invented in Naples using local natural ingredients, cooked in a wood fired oven at extremely high heat to achieve a charred, blistered crust. We use San Marzano tomatoes and Fior di Latte Mozzarella, brought in fresh daily. Our dough is made with naturally leavened Italian Caputo doppio zero flour. Our pizza bakes in less than 90 seconds in our 900 degree wood burning oven, hand built for us by 3rd generation pizza oven maker, Stefano Ferrara in Naples. Simple, Honest, and Natural.

Food is always delicious, service is friendly and fast, atmosphere is bright and not too noisy. This is a great place for a business lunch or catch-up with friends or family.

Service was great and food was amazing. Pasta was incredible and we all really enjoyed the taste and the texture of the pizza!

Went for anniversary dinner and the staff was super nice and accommodating. The pizzas are a must! So good.

The restaurant is in a great location and has a nice patio. The pizzas were very good but the salads not as good. The service was so so … he was attentive when we first arrived and then after delivering our drinks seemed to forget about us. My biggest complaint was that the place is dirty … the table was cleaned off but the seats are ripping and full of crumbs and the floor under the table was very dirty.

We love Libretto and every time we come back, with head to University Ave for some good Libretto pizza. We booked a reservation for 7:30, arrived , got seated , waited for our server so when it was time to order, I asked if I could sub salami for prosciutto as they have done it before. The gal said we can take off salami and up-charge for the other . I let her know that this accommodation had been done before. She said she would check as a result of that but I never saw her come back. The pizza came with salami with no update that my request could not be fulfilled or an option for something different . That server never did come back so we were not offered a chance to order another round of drinks , which was disappointing. The food is amazing as always and we love the atmosphere but the service was terrible unfortunately.

First time here! It was close to the theatre we were going to . . . Lovely waiter. The food was adequate - nothing more or less. I think it is a good 'family' restaurant - kinds would like it.
