Le Pint Shop propose un cuisine britannique simple, principalement au barbecue. Son bar sert 16 bières pression artisanales, 45 sortes de gins ainsi que du vin de petits producteurs européens. Il dispose de 2 salles à manger et concocte les plats de 3 façons différentes : rôtis, grillés au barbecue et braisés. Le restaurant est ouvert du lundi au vendredi, du midi à 19h00. Son menu de 2 plats est au prix de 10 £ et vous dégusterez celui de 3 plats pour 13 £. Le dimanche, le Pint Shop assure toute la journée un service continu.

All fur coat and no knickers! The food was not good. Very overpriced. Fish and chips was not edible, disgusting fat soaked batter with bearly any fish. The chicken schnitzel was the biggest rip off, gem lettuce with a shop bought caesar dressing… The burger was just not worth the money. We waited an hour for this. The bar was better, but staff seemed untrained in hospitality and lacked basic knowledge for working in a bar.

We have been to The Pint Shop 3 times over the 4 years our son was at university here (first year in COVID times) and we have had delicious food, with helpful friendly, attentive staff. in a great environment every time. Sad not to have an excuse to return! Only criticism is that some of the music was a bit intrusive.

Delicious pork belly and beer on the Sunday roast. Took a while for server to take our order, so was sat without a drink for a while. Then the roast dinner came whilst were eating our starter and the starter plates were just pushed out to the side. No ask if we needed anything like condiments or drinks on delivery of food and then no return to ask if everything was okay. Won't return purely on how the service was which is a shame because the food was really good.

The lunch menu needs reviewing, trying to be too clever. We had the Soup and Sausage for lunch. Soup was okay, although egg in Soup was interesting. Sausage was very good, apart from it being on a plate of chickpeas and water. The beers at £7+ not great either. Been going to Pint Shop for a long time, not sure I would rush back at least to the Lunch menu. It's good to do something unique and different, but sometimes it's good to have plain meat that's not singed into watery Soup.

We had the Sunday lunch two courses for £28 which was delicious and really good value for money. The roast was the perfect size and tasted so good. We would definitely recommend. The service was friendly too.

Went in for Sunday roast. Good choice of craft beers. The vege roast was cold and the veg and gravy lukewarm. The vege nut roast was not what I would call a nut roast by any stretch of the imagination and was unpleasant. Yorkshire pud was well risen. Vege sides were tepid. Won't go again for good.

We visited as a family on Wednesday evening with my parents to celebrate my dad's 75th birthday. The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. However, we waited an hour for our food, which for the price, was a standard plain burger with some cheese on. My son had the children's menu burger for a third of the price and had a bigger plate of food than the adults. The waitress was very apologetic about the wait for food and gave us some olives and peanuts for free. Once our food had arrived, she said we could have free desserts, which we thought was very generous. Unfortunately, we then waited for a further 45 minutes for our desserts. Our table was booked at 6.45pm and we left at 9.20pm. Our two children were very tired! A disappointing experience.

Lovely room, food was good, our waiter JJ was excellent but we waited over 2 hours for our dinner to arrive. Very frustrating since it spoiled our evening plans. If that is the norm, I would give it a miss and try somewhere else in Cambridge.
