In this majestic rustic log lodge, they serve only the finest cuts of beef, as well as, salmon, cold-water lobster, crab cakes and more. A specialty of the house is their famous Creamy Crab Soup - it's a favorite among the locals! We were voted Garrett county's best steakhouse.

The service at the restaurant was extremely slow. When the food finally came out, many items were cold. The glassware and plates were dirty. Food particles on the floor throughout dining room. I would not recommend.

We really enjoyed our dinner. We shared the Seared Scallops with bourbon bacon jam. Oh my!!! Delicious!!!! We both ordered steaks- mine was the filet and my husband’s was the cowboy flat iron. Both were delicious. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive.

The food we ultimately ordered was good as were the cocktails. We chose this spot to have some prime rib but it wasn’t available except for certain days. The website says available after 4P. The website states “The main entrance is on the lower level” It should also state how many steep steps you have to go up to be seated in the dining room. One person in the group is not able to do steps. We ended up eating in the bar area.

Food was good, service was fair. Only the downstairs was open and it was fairly cold in there. I imagine in the warmer months the restaurant is beautiful. I would recommend for the food.

So service was fine - no complaints They were very attentive We went just for their special - short ribs on risotto with a mushroom demi glacé The risotto was really good The short ribs were really just beef roast which was a little dry and tough (Shouldn’t need a knife for short ribs) But not a short rib - why do restaurants keep calling roast beef a short rib? Couldn’t find one wine on the wine list that I would want to try Prices are ok for Deep Creek

My family of eight went there last night for a birthday dinner. The service, especially the waitress was friendly and helpful. She brought our beverages almost immediately and accurately. She forgot that we ordered an extra bottle of wine and did not bring it, which is on her as there is a 20% tip on groups over six. The food, especially the prime rib, was horrible. It was overcooked and very fatty; I ordered the medium cut, which I believe is 16 ounces, and I got a very thin piece of meat that was overcooked. Management took 10% off of it. I got the benefit of three dollars off of a $38 entrée; they advertised that they have fresh lump crab meat crabcakes made with jumbo crab meat without filler. I don't believe it was jumbo crab meat and highly seasoned. The space is very nice. I wish the food would be up to par and a value proposition. When you think about steak houses, you think about experiences with national chains like Ruth Chris and Mortons. This was more like Applebee's or maybe the Texas Roadhouse, but they charge national chain prices. I know this is a recreation area, and many families are looking for that type of experience. We were looking for an exceptional experience because it was a birthday
