I’ve visited Pigeonhole several times in the past and always had a great experience. Recently, I returned for brunch with a friend, as we enjoyed it previously and the location is convenient. We had a reservation for noon and were seated promptly, as the restaurant was fairly empty. However, this time, our experience was disappointing. Shortly after we sat down, a group of four men was seated next to us. Despite arriving later, they were served drinks and had their order taken before we were even offered water. Their food also arrived about 10 minutes before ours, which seemed odd since we ordered something simple—avocado toast and hashbrowns. When our food finally came, the eggs and bacon on the toast were cold. Additionally, there was an odd smell on the stairs leading to the washroom. Unfortunately, the overall experience—both the food and ambiance—didn’t meet the high standard I’ve come to expect from Pigeonhole.

Such amazing food! You can tell the chefs are passionate about their dishes. Best food I’ve had in Calgary yet!

Overall, the food was good. Although the menu was fairly limited, I was able to find dishes that appealed to my palate. The restaurant was a little noisy but the service was excellent.

Incredible - we started with cocktails and the scallops and oysters. Wonderfully fresh and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the cucumber & tomato salad. In fact we are still talking about it a day later! The chicken schnitzel and pork belly were fantastic plates to share. Overall a wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon!
