Love the food at this restaurant but the service was lacking tonight. I never received my drink and our waiter rarely visited our table. It was not overly busy and I expected better service.

Lovely lunch on the new patio area. Comfortable seating, attentive servers and delicious, unique salads. A very nice experience. Recommend highly.

First time back in months and surprised to see that it had been totally renovated. It is absolutely beautiful. Same great food and attentive staff. The biggest difference (aside from the new ambiance) is that the former BYOB, now has a bar. That wasn’t mentioned on their website and our server told us the bar had only been open for a couple of weeks. He then advised they now had a corkage fee of $10. We had brought a bottle of wine with us and since there had been no mention of the bar or a fee, we asked for the fee to be waived- which we felt was a fair request. The owner came a few minutes later and welcomed us. We told him how great the place looked and congratulated him on the transition. He thanked us and then told us that he “had” to charge us the fee. When I told him there was mention of the new bar on their website or any corkage fee, he told me “yeah, we’re working on that” and walked away. Not exactly a very gracious or hospitable response. So…be aware if you’re planning to check it out- they now have a bar and will charge a corkage fee if you think it’s still a BYOB.

All our dishes were delicious- have been coming here since they opened years ago. Nice to see them grow to include the outdoor dining which was lovely at end of summer! Staff there have longevity and owner and his wife thoughtfully check in on your table.service makes the meal they are attentive and thoughtful refilling water glasses and other wait staff asking if you need anything, whether coming in for pizza or a steak. Now have liquor license but for corking fee can bring your own wine!

I love this restaurant. I’ve been here many times over the last few years, and I’m never disappointed. The staff are always so nice. They refill your water. They clear away your dishes. They’re never obtrusive. And the food! I have to start with the garlicky dip they have for their bread. I don’t know what’s in it, but it is SO GOOD!! I could absolutely eat a bowl of it. And the bread is always fresh and soft and warm. Last night I had their Chicken Francaise with pasta. It was delicious. The sauce was not too thin and not too thick. It was very lemony without being overwhelming. I didn’t have the shrimp scampi last night, but that is another favorite of mine which never misses. And I love the fact that a soup or salad comes with your meal! So many restaurants are al a carte now, and I am so thankful that Piccolo has maintained their tradition of including the soup/salad with the meal. When my husband and I can have a delicious dinner out for under $50, that is a win in my book. Lastly, I have to comment on their recent renovation. I think it was money well spent. The restaurant is beautiful. It’s now bigger, tastefully modern, and has a bar for those that like a drink with their dinner. The new outdoor section is also a great addition. They had a small band playing outside last night, and when the door to the outside was closed you could hardly hear it. It was perfect. People have a choice between a quiet dinner inside or a dinner with music outside. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

We tried the Brooklyn square pizza for the first time. It was delicious. Thin, crispy crust with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. 😋 We ate outside which was beautiful and they had live music. Very enjoyable evening.

The owner has really done a beautiful job expanding and updating this restaurant. It has recently added a bar but we saw a table with their own wine as it used to be a BYOB. Perhaps that table was unaware. The food was very good. We chose to eat outside which is covered and has heaters in the ceiling. Some of the dishes we had were the sausage and broccoli rabe over pasta, pasta bolognaise and for appetizer the artichokes which everyone at the table agreed was fabulous. We only had cappuccino for dessert. Our waitress was a Spanish or Mexican young lady who was in training, spoke very broken English and got most of order correct after several asks. She was very hard to understand and while we appreciate the young people working, we thought that putting her own several tables on a Saturday night was not a good managerial move. Our bill came to about $45 a person with tip.
